Aircraft surveillance & #ADSB from a 2021 report I wrote on "Data, metadata & interoperability for future air mobility" for the Open Data Institute & the Connected Catapult Places docs.google.com/document/d/1… /1
ADS-B does not track people. It is an electronic box attached to aircraft broadcasting information about the craft. The only reason someone like Musk's movements are revealed by ADS-B is because he owns his own plane & uses it regularly. /8
ADS-B broadcasts in clear since it is a safety requirement & anyone can receive this. FlightRadar24.com is one of the largest community initiatives & integrates over 20,000 connected ADS-B receivers operated by hobbyists around the world. /fin

"Picking a permanent side in some grand ideological struggle – with its prepackaged set of principles & values, enemies & heroes – might bring psychological comfort in the short term, but it'll erode the capacity for intellectual honesty in the long term." world.hey.com/dhh/nobody-kno…
Laughs uproariously. I mean, it's not like the data on office vacancy trends hasn't been obvious for at least 5 years. And it's all public if anyone cares to look openlocal.uk #OpenData

So the asylum forms are inside the UK behind razorwire barricades around a border policed by acid-fanged wolves & radioactive sharks, & it's illegal to even glance at the wall, but, should you make it over, you're welcome to be housed in one of our concentration camps. Right?
