Thoroughly enjoyed this. Really cool to hear about Katie Taylor/Croke Park from the American female perspective, and from women who crossed the Atlantic to cover the event. Much of their diligent and excellent work over many years came to fruition, too!

For a fella who continuously claims not to be a boxing writer, he is decent…

A night at Croker I’ll never forget, my God. Katie Taylor is one in eight billion. Disappointed for some of the Irish lads on the undercard, but they were in tough. End of an era — now up to somebody else to kickstart a new one and get us back there one day.

We’re actually staring down the barrel of a full Westlife concert here — and I’m well game

One last time.

Hopefully the only shock of the week will be that @BPPboxing referred to God in the third person

A rare piece on Katie Taylor — how she’s in rarified air as a ticket-seller, why this final fight can’t be treated as a boxing testimonial, and navigating an emotionally weighty week in Dublin the42.ie/katie-taylor-106-71…

Jamie T returns from his own business every four or five years, drops a banger of an album, exponentially improves my life, and then fecks off again to do his own thing. I love him

RTÉ will have its own panel and commentary team at Croke Park for Katie Taylor’s final-ever fight against Flora Pili. Undercard tbc, but you’d hope they can show the chief support between Paddy Donovan and Tyrone McKenna at least — what a moment that would be for both lads.
