Gainey Monday Q’d for the fourth time in five tries this week and just won on the @ChampionsTour.
I'd venture to say he's one of the longest shots to win on both the PGA and Champions Tour ever.
Never played college golf, worked in a water heater factory, worked as a mover, lived in a hotel for years, ran out of money multiple times before finally making it. It took him nearly 10 years after turning pro to get status.
The two gloves, the funky swing, and an amazing story, its great to see him find success again.
