The daily plan, start to finish: 1. Note which side of ZeroGEX price is on 2. Mark the transition zone and stay patient inside it 3. Wait for a clean break of PTrans or NTrans 4. +GEX or -GEX is the first target, then COI or POI That's it. Bookmark this for tomorrow's open.

One reminder: treat every level as a decision point. When price rejects at a key gamma strike, that's mostly fear, greed, and profit-taking, so we watch how price behaves there instead of assuming a bounce. Reading that well takes screen time and practice.

So above 7720 the lean is bullish, but until 7750 breaks, the data points to a choppy range. A clean break above 7750 opens 7810, where +GEX and COI stack on one strike: two reasons for speculators to take profits there. Below 7710, -GEX at 7700 is only 10 points away.

Today's levels to tie it together (Oct 16, approximate): +GEX and COI: 7810 PTrans: 7750 ZeroGEX: 7720 NTrans: 7710 -GEX: 7700 Notice the conflicts. ZeroGEX sits inside the transition zone instead of below it, and the zone is 40 points wide, not 5.

4. COI and POI COI is the strike with the highest net call open interest, the secondary upside target. POI is the strike with the highest net put open interest, the secondary downside target. When COI sits above +GEX, positioning reads mildly bullish.

Why +GEX works as a target: speculators took on OTM risk to get there. When price arrives, they've captured that move and want to lock in profits, which brings selling flows. Both levels shift as price moves through the structure, so we keep checking them.

3. +GEX and -GEX +GEX is the strike with the largest positive gamma exposure. Once price clears PTrans, +GEX is the primary upside target. -GEX is the strike with the most negative gamma exposure. Once price breaks NTrans, -GEX is the primary downside target.

When the GEX and DEX transitions overlap, there's very little net exposure there, so price tends to chop as speculators make noise. Width matters too. A tight zone, around 5 points on $SPX, points to clear conviction. A wide zone means more volatility and a choppier range.

We measure the transition two ways. GEX transition (gamma) shows where price can accelerate (or not). DEX transition (Net OI, net calls minus net puts at each strike) shows which side holds directional pressure.

We read PTrans and NTrans as acceleration triggers. When price breaks above PTrans, market makers pick up delta exposure fast and hedge by buying, which can push the move further. Below NTrans, the same mechanics run in reverse.

2. PTrans and NTrans PTrans is the strike where it and every strike above are net call-dominated. NTrans is the strike where it and every strike below are net put-dominated. The stretch between them is the transition zone, the no-man's land where neither side is in control.

ZeroGEX matters most when price is sitting right on it. If net GEX is also near zero, we call that a coiled spring: an unstable teeter-totter balance that caps directional conviction until one side takes control. The next level shows where that control changes hands.
