The diversity of the United States of America is our greatest strength. Over 500 of my Indian American constituents came together to remind people that our country must live up to its creed of being a more perfect union, of being a city of hope on the hill. Thank you so much for your support.

Why the fuck are Indians hated so much? What have they done to deserve this level of hatred? Have Indians promoted terrorism? Have they colonized your countries? Enslaved your people? Stolen your homes? Taken away your families? Kidnapped your children? What exactly have millions of ordinary Indians done to deserve this much racism and hostility? Is it because they're educated, intelligent, ambitious, hardworking, and competing for the same jobs as you? Since when did intelligence and ambition become crimes? Since when did working hard to build a better life become a reason to be hated? If your problem is job displacement, then why aren't you directing the same anger toward artificial intelligence? Why not question AI? Why not question ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Anthropic, OpenAI? AI has the potential to displace far more jobs than Indian immigrants ever could. Yet somehow, the Indian engineer, the Indian student, the Indian doctor, and the Indian worker become your enemies. Why? Because it's easier to target a human being with a different skin colour or accent than to confront the actual economic forces changing your world? And understand one thing clearly. If an Indian refuses to engage with your racism, if they ignore your insults, if they choose not to respond to your hatred, it doesn't mean they lack a spine. It means your hatred isn't worth their time. Indians don't owe you an apology for being educated, ambitious, hardworking, successful, or simply existing. Being Indian is not a crime. Being successful is not a crime. And your insecurity is not a justification for racism.

Police thwarted a planned mass shooting targeting a Hindu temple in Illinois over the weekend. We are grateful to the @FBI and local law enforcement for acting swiftly on a tip following a failed attack earlier in the day. The suspected attacker, a neo-Nazi, reportedly expressed hatred toward Indians, Jews, African Americans, and other minority communities. We stand with our friends in the Hindu community. Hate-fueled extremism threatens all of us, and must be confronted wherever it takes root. nbcchicago.com/news/local/po…

My op-ed: The U.S. no longer appears to view India’s rise as entirely benign. India’s role in U.S. policy is being downgraded, as is apparent from the White House’s latest National Security Strategy, the Pentagon’s 2026 National Defense Strategy, the dropping of the prefix “Indo” from “Indo-Pacific,” and the Quad's marginalization in American strategy. Trump has accelerated a structural shift that began under Biden and stripped away much of the diplomatic cushioning that once softened bilateral differences. thehill.com/opinion/internat…

Some people leave behind wealth. Some leave behind fame. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam left behind a way of life. On his 95th birth anniversary, let us remember a man who dreamed of a developed India, believed in the power of young minds, and taught us that greatness lies not in what we receive, but in what we give. He always rejected all gifts and said, “Gifts diminish value”. Perhaps the most meaningful tribute we can offer him today is not a gift, a garland, or even a post celebrating his life. It is a resolution to live by his values. To dream boldly. To stay humble. To keep learning. To serve the nation. And to leave the world a little better than we found it. Let us not merely read about Dr. Kalam, admire his achievements, or quote his words. Let us bring his ideas into our everyday actions. Because the best way to honour a great teacher is to practise what he taught. May we become the kind of people he always believed we could be. #DrKalam #kalam #APJAbdulKalam #abdulkalam #MissileMan

Abhijeet have you considered why you failed your degree at @BU_Tweets? Mary isn’t in India. Imran is. Mary is free to say whatever she wants in HER country. Imran can’t in a FOREIGN country. Try reading 7D (e) of the citizenship act… though I doubt you’ll understand it.
Mary Millben, an American, can speak in favour of the BJP. But Imran, an OCI cardholder, can’t say anything against the BJP. 🫡🫡🫡

.@RepJayapal, a seat in the U.S. Congress does not give you the right to spread FAKE NEWS. Breathtakingly irresponsible would be an understatement. So let me educate you a bit; you are in dire need of it: India’s Election Commission is a constitutional authority. Article 324 and the Representation of the People Act provide the framework for preparing and revising electoral rolls. It's a constitutional mandate. Special Intensive Revisions started in 1961 and since then happened multiple times. Some historical homework would have helped. But what exactly happens. It cleans the electoral rolls by removing duplicate, deceased, or permanently migrated voters, removing non-Indians and integrating newly eligible citizens. Now, let me give me you an American example. If a voter in your state Seattle moves home and goes to live in New Jersey, would you like that voter to have voting right in both the states or just in New Jersey? So before lecturing India on electoral rolls, try reading America’s own rules. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission - name sounds familiar? The EAC reported that states removed over 14.8 million registrations during the 2014 election cycle under President Obama. Would that headline alone establish that his administration stole 14.8 million Americans’ voting rights? And remember the records cleanup publicised by Elon Musk’s DOGE? DOGE reported millions of Social Security records being marked deceased. So check before broadcasting an accusation against another democracy. FAKE outrage is easy. Homework clearly is the harder assignment.
I am deeply concerned about the actions of the Indian government to purge 130 million people from the voting rolls. This appears to be a similar playbook to what the Trump Administration is doing here at home to undermine voting rights in a democracy.

Shri @yadavakhilesh ji, the UPA received support from your party starting from 2004. The UPA left banks in a pathetic condition. It is strange that you are talking about banks now and didn’t question your allies, then! Your allies now in the INDI Alliance ruined public sector banks through 'phone banking' and 'crony capitalism.' During the tenure of the UPA government—backed by your party—IDBI Bank itself extended loans to individuals from whom recovering both the principal and the interest is the effort we are undertaking. It is our NDA government under PM @narendramodi that revitalized the entire banking system, including IDBI Bank, through transparent policies and the infusion of capital. Now that the banks are in a strong position, you are feigning sympathy?

I won't comment on Trump, but what you are sharing on India is fake news. India is doing a constitutionally required clean up of voter rolls since 2003. In 23 years, more than 110 million Indians have died, millions more left the country, or changed their locations. All these have been corrected and a draft made, not even finalized as Indians can still get their names included or rolls corrected if there's any discrepancy. The new draft list can still be challenged in the courts. But it is being made into a fake news of "India deleted 130 million voters. And it is being spread around by some foreign influenced media in the world. Don't post on such unnecessary, complex issues in foreign countries without understanding, to make it look like you or democrats are working for China, Russia, Pakistan and other foreign interests.
