Thrilled by the positive response this is getting. Our game was mostly ignored by adults on 1st release in 2004. Nostalgia likely helps this time. But hopefully it’s also that the love of game-making shines through. It had legit innovation.

Yeah, it used an AI powered program they wrote, trained on libraries THEY made specifically for it to aid with a very tedious part of animating. It's not generative AI. When will people learn that the problem is generative AI and not AI-powered/assisted tools?
As funny as Charlie is, and puts people who deserve it into their place, I just cannot agree with him on this topic.
No, Nintendo doesn't always treat their fans as well as a few other companies do, but I think Nintendo is currently one of the lesser of some MAJOR evils in the industry.
As pricey as the Switch 2 is, it is still the cheapest console you could buy, while it also offers the games that release nowadays.
And OoT Remake could NEVER run on the Switch 1, are we deadass? 💀

It is confusing why people act as if Zelda fans initiated this.
The reveal of Ocarina of Time clearly seeks to minimize an Ocarina of Time Remake for GTA 6.
The insecurity actually stems from the GTA side; they even produced an SNL skit to mock Zelda, which backfired. But also, the negativity surrounding GTA 6 is because of the malicious practices Rockstar is putting into place. $100 game that's strictly digital.
So yeah, screw GTA 6. They're not the victims in this conversation.
I'm confused on why Nintendo fans are trying so hard to pit the Ocarina of Time Remake against GTA 6 as if these releases are comparable in any way.
One is an extremely faithful remake of a 1998 game, So the dungeons, story beats, mechanics and puzzles are all faithful and a byproduct of their time. Even the original loading screens are kept in. It's very much a 1998 game, brought to modern audiences. I am 100% sure its going to be fantastic, but its not a new game.
GTA 6 is a whole new game, building upon a nearly 30 year long legacy with 8 years of development behind it, following up directly on the highest rated game of the eighth generation being Red Dead 2.
If this was a new Legend of Zelda game, I'd get the comparison. But at this point, it genuinely feels like insecurity and Nintendo's fanbase is starting to come across as one of the most elitist, insufferable fanbases on here for how insecure they are over the fact that the remake won't be as big as GTA 6.
It's also just crazy that so many people are trying to portray GTA 6 as a "ball and gun" game when this franchise has consistently been revolutionary for the open world genre since its inception, with each entry doing something huge to impact the industry at its core.

This game comes out the day before the cutoff, so this game is either gonna win purely by people voting it bc of hype without even playing it more than a few hours, or its gonna win bc its rigged to all hell. Genuine theft that you SHOULD be mad about.

It must feel really bad knowing you spent so much of your precious time making sure this game is perfect only for a scam company to tarnish it with a botched remaster 20 years later. Loved that game. Hate to see it touched by Asspyr.
I directed the Shrek 2 game, which launched in 2004. 22 years later, Microsoft is launching a remaster. Expect to see lots more of this kind of thing, now that huge companies own these IPs and have new AI powers. Hopefully to the benefit of players.
