Just to be clear. No one in Lake City believes a state title was stolen. It it simply the title of an article on transfer rules in MN. Breck played a great game and certainly deserved to win. Our entire program is centered around a “No Deposit-No Return” philosophy. Everything is earned and we believe that 100%. Pat does a good job discussing an important and sensitive topic in MN HS sports today which is the impact of transfers, especially throughout the metro area. Everyone plays within the rules that are in place. Much like how the NCAA is changing with the transfer portal, high schools are seeing movement much in the same way. It is what it is. All we can do as coaches is focus on the things we can control which in developing relationships with kids and building the best team and program we can year after year.
