One of the best ways to judge character is to pay attention to how people act:
1. When they don’t need you.
2. When they need you.
3. After they’ve gotten what they needed from you.
Character always reveals itself. U just gotta Pay attention
Make sure u add the aau relationship for favors
So yal gone apologize to me for what I’ve been saying about these recruiting sites ??? It’s a dirty game. Wait til you find out that these sites also rank guys higher depending on the school they’re committed to and to keep the relationship with the coaches of said school they commit to… *Gasp & grabs at pearls 🫣🫣🫣🫣
Bad take. Won a ncaa championship, boarded. Also is 6’8. Closer to KD than the other players mentioned.

1 on 1 space getting too comfortable. The nba roll players were all stars at some point and just figured out how to “play the game” the fact people play with nba players names that been there for a while and contributed is wild. If nba players just played ones and trained for ones all day it would look a lot different
"TJ McConnell would come out here and get fried."

Tom Brady says his doctor told him to cut the tendons in both legs. He refused, fixed it in 3 days with no surgery, and played till 45
“After the season, I tell the doctor, My groin’s just really sore all the time. Every time I move, I can feel it just grab”
“And the team doctor says, This is what we’re going to do. We’re going to do an adductor release, we’re going in there and cut the adductor tendon in your groin. We’re also going to cut the other side, so it never becomes a problem”
“And I was like, Okay, that sounds not like what I want to do”
“I called Alex when I left the office. I said, Alex, the doctor told me to do this adductor release. What do you think? He said, Absolutely not. Fly out to LA with me for 3 days and I’ll fix it”
“So I fly out there and worked the adductors, lengthened and softened both muscles, my hips, all my glutes, basically relieved the tension on the tendon. And 3 days later, no more pain”
“The doctor said there was a 99% chance he’d have to cut my adductor tendon at some point. And to this day, nothing”

Jaylen Brown exposing the behind-the-scenes realities of the NBA. He says most players have handlers who won’t let them invest in their communities, and help build the next Black Wall Street. Once you start doing that, he says, they begin attacking you media personalities like Colin Cowherd push certain narratives, and media companies come after you simply because you want to create change in your community.
One of the admissions of success is u have to be ok looking stupid from time to time going thru your process!!
Regret cuts deeper than failure. Keep pushing thru fears, doubts and failures

Lamar Jackson says he watched friends chase fast money while he was playing the long game and counting how many years it would take him to reach the NFL
“I’m seeing my friends who I was growing up with who I was playing football with… Just throw their life away for fast money and stuff like that. They used to tell me ‘Oh, you talk too much’. Because I used to always speak about football and positivity stuff. They didn’t want to hear that.”
“Now it’s like… They’d rather hear it now because I’m Lamar Jackson. But I’ve been speaking about it. Everybody just wasn’t listening. I was already seeing what was going on. I wish we could go back in time and y’all could see what I was seeing. Because I always looked at life like, I counted years.”
“Like I would think… ‘How many years does it take to get to the league?’ They’re saying… ‘You do three years in college.’ I said… ‘I’m doing three years.’ I’m not doing four. I’m not trying to go fifth year. I’m doing three years because I’m going to make sure my family is good.”
“If you’re coming from a place like where I come from, don’t try to be like the guys around you. Don’t look up to the stuff that looks like it’s fun… Because sometimes it gets you in trouble.”
“It’s sacrificing. ‘Man, I can’t have fun right now. I’ve got to get my family right. I can’t do this right now. I can’t mess up.’ Forget the fast money. I’ve got to think about longevity.”
“You can get locked up and do five years for $1,000. That money gone. It’s gone. You’re like… ‘Man, I just did that for $1,000…’ And I could have waited five years and I would’ve had $10 million.”
“That’s why I’m where I’m at right now. That’s how I used to think. My mom working… She’s busting her behind. It’s me, my brother and my two sisters at home. I’m the oldest…”
“So I’ve got to make sure everybody right. And it’s like… Man, I can’t wait, but I’ve got to wait. That’s the sacrifice. I’ve got to be patient. People don’t look at it like that. It’s like… ‘Man, I need that money right now.’ But you don’t need that money right now. Just wait.”
One issue I see in youth sports is everyone who has a position of power wants u to provide favors to help them but rarely provides the same favor in return. The kid ends up the collateral damage because they get a false sense of where they at!
Josh Hart in the NBA finals doing the same thing he was doing at Sidwell!
