Remember that Nintendo rankings are revenue based, so Meccha Cameleon could've sold 10x as much as Fire Emblem and still appear below it.
Also, they ommit games with a ranking higher than CERO D, so Onimusha is ommited.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Rhythm Heaven Groove were the top downloads in Japan for September.

Hardware Sales
Total sales of the Switch 1 in Japan surpassed 37 MILLION units, should be it's final milestone.
Switch 2 will be down year on year from next week.

Just recently the Gnosia and Needy Girl Overdose animes both turned great.
Here's a funny story: I went on a take to watch the 4th Resident Evil movie, and found it so boring I feel asleep 30 minutes in.
Needless to say, there wasn't a second date.
I do have a soft spot for P.W. Anderson's first couple RE movies and the first Silent Hill, but I wouldn't call either of them good.
Calling this the first good videogame adaptation is not quite true though, as many VNs have turned into great animes, though that's cheating a bit
I just saw this movie, it's great. It's cool to finally see a big videogame movie that's just good without any asteriks.
On November 12th, there's a Choose your own game type Switch 2 bundle releasing in Japan with Mario Kart, Switch Sports and Tomodachi Life as options.
64k yen, a pretty good discount for either Switch 2 game.
Also releasing a week after Zelda, which also has a special edition

The top 2 selling games in Japan for 2026 will be Switch 1 games.
Silent Hill: Townfall had a (very expected) drop from the launch of Silent Hill f and the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Nonetheless, it's 13k launch still puts it above all other SH games until Origins, and it should be higher than it including digital sales.
