In top life news - my new dishwasher is arriving between 7-9am on launch day. The struggle of sleep v clean dishes is real.
Was a bit of a gift to work on this one. We 🧇🥞🍝🍜 once again.

I’ve spent roughly 14hrs playing DMZ over the last 2 days. Here are my initial thoughts:
▶️ Hajin might be one of the most gorgeous and incredibly immersive maps I’ve ever played. Dynamic Weather makes it truly feel different every time I load in. Particularly like playing in the rain/fog, the vibe is unmatched. Extremely unique POIs across the two land masses, no place feels the same
▶️ The FOB is a brilliant addition to the game. Encapsulates many of the major issues I had with the DMZ Beta. Now I have a place to craft, organise, upgrade and exist beyond just being in a raid
▶️ PvE elements (Dynamic Ops, Story Missions, general AI enemies, Lieutenants, Commanders etc.) are well implemented. I feel like the UI is extremely obtrusive around these elements and would like options to either scale those back or disable them if possible. I want to be immersed in the world and action, not bombarded with UI toasts every 10 seconds
▶️ PvP was slow to find on Day 1 but I’m now coming across more and more players. I feel this is mainly due to the early launch of the mode + players likely trying to complete missions vs hunting players. PvP will continue to grow over the coming days and I fully expect it to be at the fore come next week
▶️ I was expecting more from the physical extractions. There was a real chance to implement some different ways to exfil beyond just the choppers and the Fulton. Maybe in the future the devs could look at this? Some examples: take a boat to the edge of the map; locate a broken fence on the map boundary and extract w/o backpack? Final Exfil being able to be called in manually feels a little odd considering you can’t take it before the counter hits zero?
▶️ Progression feels FAST, but I’m playing a lot. It may not feel as fast for others. Weapon levelling is decently quick, don’t feel like I’m being restricted there
▶️ Vehicles have extremely arcade-like controls so they’re much more fun vs MWII DMZ Beta. Still have depth of damage & fuel. Heli controls are floaty AF though… they might need a bit of work!
Overall, enjoying my time immensely. Looking forward to playing more tomorrow 💪

Last day of Korean Alley pop-up today in Shoreditch. I've heard from a few people that there was talk of an 'event' - it finishes today at 10pm and is free. Pyro from 7pm. We haven't got a separate planned UK event for the game this year. Can't wait to see you in Hajin. #mw4

VideoGamer has been de-indexed by Google. A legacy UK games media site killed by ClickOut. I worked for VG pre-acquisition - we brought back original interviews, rose the domain back up. It was acquired, filled with gambling ads, ravaged by AI, and then killed.
