Went to the gym by myself for the first time yesterday. It’s a small thing but it means a great deal in building up my self-confidence in a genuine way.
The issue I take with this line of thinking is that it doesn’t consider context. Yeah games from the 80’s and 90’s can be clunky, but that’s the experience players had at the time! They probably had problems with it too! Those games endured for a reason.

Final Fantasy 3 and 5 were games I struggled with because I suck at job systems. 5 makes up for it with a solid narrative and music. The game feels a bit sillier compared to 4 and 6 but its dramatic moments still hit well. I liked it more this time. 3 felt about the same.
