My mom died when i was born
My dad drank himself to death when I was 17, I found him dead in my grandma's guest bedroom
At 13 I found my uncle dead in his trailer, not too much longer after that my other uncle died sitting up in his truck from alcohol
I lived with my grandparents growing up, I watched my grandfather SUFFER with lung cancer from smoking, I knew he was about to die but finding him dead hit me worse than anything, then finally at 25 my grandma, the lady who raised me died, iv literally watched everyone i loved die, it fucked me up, i did ALOT of drugs and have spent a few years in prison

SENSITIVE CONTENT - UPDATE: Faith Williams, 57, was fatally shot Friday night around 11:15 p.m. entering a liquor store on Detroit’s east side. Her niece was shot too and remains hospitalized. The niece says they never even spoke to the shooter - no altercation, no warning, nothing.
The suspect is 15 years old and is now in custody. People who know him say he hasn’t been right since he recently lost his mother, and video from around the time of the shooting reportedly shows him holding what may be her obituary. That context matters, but it doesn’t explain gunning down two strangers who did nothing to provoke him. A woman is dead and her niece is fighting to recover, and somewhere along the way this kid needed real intervention and didn’t get it.

Cops stand around cracking jokes about the man they have in custody while he passes right before their eyes. Million dollar lawsuit as a result.
Anthony "Tony" Timpa called 911 from a parking lot on Mockingbird Lane, panicked and pleading for help. Timpa explicitly informed the dispatcher that he suffered from schizophrenia and depression, was off his medication, and had taken cocaine.
When Dallas police officers arrived, Timpa was already handcuffed by private security guards who had responded to reports of him running into traffic. Officers took him in to custody on the ground, and Officer Dustin Dillard held him in place for nearly 14 minutes.
As Timpa continued to try to get up all while asking for aid, officers ignored his comments. When he eventually stopped moving, officers mistook his breathing for snoring. Believing he had simply fallen asleep, they joked about making him waffles, buying him new shoes, and waking him up for the "first day of school."
Paramedics administered a sedative and loaded Timpa onto a stretcher. Shortly after loading him up the paramedics recognized his passing. Later an autopsy was performed and ruled his de@th a homicide caused by mechanical asphyxiation combined with the stress of restraint and the toxic effects of cocaine.
The City of Dallas kept the bodycam footage sealed for nearly three years. It was only made public following an extensive legal battle waged by the Dallas Morning News and Timpa’s family.
a grand jury indicted three officers—Dustin Dillard, Danny Vasquez, and Kevin Mansell—on misdemeanor charges of deadly conduct.
However, the Dallas County District Attorney dismissed all criminal charges, stating medical experts could not definitively attribute the cause of death solely to officer recklessness. The officers were immediately reinstated to active duty.
A federal civil jury determined that officers violated Timpa’s constitutional rights and awarded $1 million to his son. However, qualified immunity shielded the officers from individual financial liability, leaving the City of Dallas—and taxpayers—to pay the judgment.
None of the officers involved faced jail time, lost their police certifications, or paid personal damages. How does this make you feel, justice served or two tier justice system?

This is the kind of case where the word "justice" feels hopelessly inadequate.
Calvin Crew, 25, sentenced to life without parole for the execution-style murder of Christina Spicuzza, a 38-year-old Uber driver and mother of four. He didn't even have the stones to show up for his own sentencing. The fiancé was right — pure cowardice.
The dashcam footage is what makes this one particularly gutting. She's begging for her life, he has a gun to her head, and the recording only stops when he notices the camera. Then he dumps her body. Two days later she's found with a gunshot wound to the head in the Pittsburgh area.
A few things that stand out:
•She was working. Just grinding, trying to make money driving for Uber — one of those gig jobs people take to keep things afloat — and she picks up the wrong passenger.
•Four kids now have no mother because some piece of garbage decided her life was worth less than whatever he was after.
•The cowardice of refusing to face the courtroom says everything. Could pull a trigger on a defenseless woman begging for her life, but can't sit in a room and hear what he did.
The fiancé's statement hits hard — "I was lost, out of control. She saw something in me." That's the kind of thing you only say about someone who genuinely pulled you out of the abyss. And now she's gone because some man with a gun decided she was an obstacle.
Life in prison is the floor, not the ceiling, for what this warrants.
