Going to (try) listen to an album a day for 2025. Criteria is I must not have listened to album in its entirety before (can have heard tracks but not full thing). Started today with @NewDad’s album from 2024 Madra. Irish band’s debut album after EP’s Waves and Banshee. —>

Cara Joshi’s bass lines are noticeable while staying within the confines of the songs and Sean O’Dowd’s guitar work is refreshing yet feels familiar. Everything is kept tight by the drumming of Fiachra Parslow. Solid 4 out of 5 album. —>

Julie Dawson’s voice is dream like and soothing, all the while crooning out lyrics of despair and lost love. Reminiscent of Robert Smith. —>
