A hands-free robotic exoskeleton went viral this summer during the carrying of the Olympic torch. Now Good Shepherd Rehabilitation in Center Valley has become the first in the country to use the technology in a clinical setting.

We’re still thinking about this feat from Parathlete Kevin Piette, a former tennis player who sustained a spinal cord injury in an accident 11 years ago. With the assistance of Wandercraftrobotic technology, he became the first person to carry the Olympic Torch in an exoskeleton.
Kevin's inspiring #Olympics walk occurred around the same time that we welcomed Wandercraft's robotic exoskeleton technology to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.
Over the next several months, our specially trained clinical teams will be utilizing the robotics with our inpatient rehab patients.
