Hello everyone!
I am pleased to finally release an incredibly long experiment that seems to have yielded solid results! As teased last week, using a geometry guided weight merge, I was able to restore the thinking stability of Qwopus v2, and merge it with the curriculum training delta of Qwopus coder!
While Qwopus coder without thinking is still probably my favorite model, I like to use it as an executor to a larger orchestration model, it is incredibly fast and will do pretty much anything you throw at it with thorough guidance.
But what if you want the whole package, the creative problem solving of Qwopus v2 with the tight execution of Qwopus coder? No planning model sitting above it? This is the ticket!
As you can see in the long winded model card, I ran this thing for weeks doing various agentic loops in Claude code, and it would carry everything to the end and always yielded a working result. Which I thought was impressive as Qwopus coder with thinking enabled would’ve gotten lost, and doing this in the coder without thinking would’ve probably worked but would’ve missed a lot of the feature nuance and creativity without being directly told to implement.
This gives you a solid comprehensive stack, and it runs at 100 tps on a single 5090 with MTP!
An interesting happy accident, is that somehow the resulting merged model is more temp stable than either base, it doesn’t seem to loop even ran down at temp 0.3, but in my testing it still seems to be more creative and performant at temp .85-1 as usual. However, if your harness forces a lower temp, it won’t be the end of the world with this model!
Anyways, this is a research proof of the custom geometry guided weight merge, and I’m elated to see how much control i can impose with it; it opens up a lot for future iterations as we can effectively modify, by delta, different portions of the weights without breaking another portion!
I really recommend giving the card a read because I had a blast putting it together and the theory is fun!
Please let me know how it does for you, it’s still definitely a research preview, but I’ve been hitting it hard for weeks and have not been able to find any glaring issues, it seems to be rock stable for agentic work in a fine tune!
As always I made a very different kind of game with it, called “orbital” it’s very hard to play and unconventional, but it’s quite aesthetically pleasing. The creativity of the concept is kind of a flex of the thinking capability, the gameplay is very original, with continued refining it could be awesome and unique, which is sometimes hard to get from a smaller local model without explicitly asking for it!
Blessed as always to be here with you all! Please hit me with all of your wins and critiques in the comments below! I will try to respond to everyone!
Keep shipping legends! Also, Jackrong has some really awesome stuff coming out in the next few days for the 9B and under folks, will be launching them here, so stay tuned!

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has OFFICIALLY upheld the lower court ruling — President Trump’s order STANDS!
USPS can NOW send mail-in ballots ONLY to voters on verified citizenship lists!
NO MORE free-for-all ballots.
NO MORE unchecked distribution.
ONLY real American citizens.
This is a COLOSSAL WIN for election integrity — the biggest step yet to secure our elections and protect the sacred right to vote!
The radical left tried to stop it…
They FAILED.
The courts just sided with WE THE PEOPLE. 🔥🔥🔥

Unfortunately, Bonsai 27B falls short on coding tasks 🙁
It hallucinates quite often, tends to rewrite entire files instead of making clean edits, and can easily get stuck in loops. It’s noticeably weaker than vanilla Qwen 3.6 27B/35B.
That said, it performs well in agentic workflows where tool calling is needed, and it might be decent for simpler coding tasks.
I'm sad. See an example in the next post.

1/4 🚀 Fun-CineForge is Officially Open Source!
AI movie dubbing just got much closer to real cinema.
Introducing Fun-CineForge
The first multimodal movie dubbing model that can handle complex cinematic scenes.
Key innovations:
Time Modality: Explicit timestamp modeling tells the model who speaks when, enabling precise alignment in dynamic scenes.
Multi-character dialogue support: A speaker-switching Flow architecture allows natural voice transitions across multiple characters.
Open-source dataset pipeline: We also release our end-to-end dataset construction pipeline for building large-scale movie dubbing datasets.
Model checkpoints are open-sourced as well.

Meet the Insider who called it out:
Attaullah Baig is a ex-Head of Security at WhatsApp. He filed a whistleblower lawsuit in September 2025 accusing Meta of ignoring major cybersecurity failures.
Key claims:
~1,500 engineers had unrestricted, unaudited access to sensitive user data (contacts, IPs, profile photos, locations, groups). Company ignored daily hacks hitting 100k+ accounts & rejected his fix proposals.
He warned execs (including Zuckerberg) this violated FTC privacy orders & SEC disclosure rules, echoing Snowden-level concerns about real-world privacy gaps.
Retaliation followed. He got fired on February 10, 2025.
Important nuance: Baig focused on metadata/operational access & systemic risks, not breaking core E2EE message content (Meta denies bypass claims).
But as ex-NSA chief Hayden said: "We k*ll people based on metadata."
Too bad he’s agengized now… great work though bro.

🚨Breaking: President Trump announces a framework DEAL on GREENLAND has been REACHED and February tariffs on European imports have been canceled.
The Colossus 2 supercomputer for @Grok is now operational.
First Gigawatt training cluster in the world. Upgrades to 1.5GW in April.
xAI has officially become the first to bring a gigawatt-scale coherent AI training cluster online
That’s more electricity than the peak demand of San Francisco
While competitors are still drafting roadmaps for 2027, xAI is already operating at major city–level power today
The execution speed is unreal:
Colossus 1 → from dirt to fully operational in 122 days
Colossus 2 → just crossed the 1 GW barrier, targeting 2 GW total
Elon’s playbook hasn’t changed:
move faster than everyone, scale before they finish meetings
The strategy is clear: speed and execution at scale
Great product. Beta for 3.0???

🇨🇳 After months of silence, DeepSeek looks set for a big moment.
They will drop their next big one, the V4 mid-February and it’s reportedly got super serious coding skills, enough to threaten many current SOTA models.
When beta?
GLM-5 is currently in training
Previously, the Z.ai team stated that they would call a model GLM-5 only if the improvements were big enough

I've never felt this much behind as a programmer. The profession is being dramatically refactored as the bits contributed by the programmer are increasingly sparse and between. I have a sense that I could be 10X more powerful if I just properly string together what has become available over the last ~year and a failure to claim the boost feels decidedly like skill issue. There's a new programmable layer of abstraction to master (in addition to the usual layers below) involving agents, subagents, their prompts, contexts, memory, modes, permissions, tools, plugins, skills, hooks, MCP, LSP, slash commands, workflows, IDE integrations, and a need to build an all-encompassing mental model for strengths and pitfalls of fundamentally stochastic, fallible, unintelligible and changing entities suddenly intermingled with what used to be good old fashioned engineering. Clearly some powerful alien tool was handed around except it comes with no manual and everyone has to figure out how to hold it and operate it, while the resulting magnitude 9 earthquake is rocking the profession. Roll up your sleeves to not fall behind.
