We are heartbroken to announce that a Nebraska State Trooper was killed in a traffic accident this morning while on duty in Morrill County.
We will release additional details when appropriate. Please keep the Trooper’s family, all of NSP, and others involved in your prayers.

Fun facts from my college kid.
In the US:
2017 someone died every 48 minutes in a DUI crash.
2010 it cost over $44 Billion in death and damage related to dui crashes.

Cue the City-Slicker jokes; I deserve them. Having too much fun tonight. Ran across this fella on patrol! *Steve Irwin voice* “Crikey, look at that wild beast!” “Look at him in his natural habitat, wouldya?” 🤣 I’m used to barking 🐶 complaints, folks. This is rad 🤙 🦌 – at Nebraska, USA

I've said it before. One of the worst parts of our job is the aftermath of a fatality crash, having to notify the surviving family members. Plan ahead now! #DriveSober, Have a #DesignatedDriver #Uber Stop #drinking & #driving
Powerful reminder not to drink and drive as you celebrate 2019. One of these pics is a dad who just lost a son; the other a husband who just lost a wife - both to crashes involving impaired drivers. OHP troopers trying to comfort as best they can. @enduiok

We see so many things. Bad choices, bad crashes, people having a bad day... But over and over I am reminded of the good we see. A passerby lending a hand. A glimpse of human tenacity and courage. The kindness of a simple smile and wave. We see you. We appreciate you. #perspective – at Montana, USA

Stopped for traffic violation and I discovered two children without car seats. A @SarpySheriff deputy took it upon herself to purchase them and even got some assistance installing them from the Lieutenant. #AboveAndBeyond
