Seeing a lot of confusion on the timeline about that $3M CryptoPunk sale.
The actual deal was $5.9M. The "$3M" everyone is quoting is just the net cash Seedphrase walked away with after paying off his ~$2.9M loan on Gondi.
1. He bought Punk #8348 in May 2020 for 85 ETH (around $17K).
Exiting at $5.9M in this market is roughly a 350x realized return.
2. He didn't just sit on a JPEG and wait for the floor price to move. He put the character to work:
- Toured globally as a DJ wearing the physical Punk helmet on stage
- Landed collaborations with Christie's and luxury fashion brands
- Built genuine real world attention around a 24x24 pixel avatar
He used the asset to build his own personal brand, borrowed millions against it when he needed liquidity, and found a buyer when he was ready to move on.
As the old saying goes:
"You never really own a Punk. You just look after it for the next generation."
Walking away with millions in cash, zero debt, and a 350x gain isn't an alarming fire sale.
That is just smart business.

Muskoge is a new meme, a fusion between Elon Musk and Shiba Inu, loaded with winks to the Musk universe and Doge lore.
Each one with their own outfit, personality and voice. You can talk to them directly on the site โ or use the meme maker to drop any Muskoge into your own scene and make them say whatever you want.
