A wonderful surprise to be recognised by the @NuclearInst yesterday with an email saying that I have been selected as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Nuclear Professionals of 2026. Being included in this year's Top100 is an absolute honour.

This is a crazy decision… far better to have 16-24, and my prediction will be a U turn on 21. The principle of the levy is now broken. Higher skills will now decline particularly in health… 😢

This might seem like a concession, but it is not especially those that access HE through foundation courses or makes no allowance for placement years or other circumstances… bad policy leads to bad results - higher tech skills needed @bphillipsonMP

Supporting @RAEngNews & #NationalEngineeringDay celebrating brilliant engineers. Whilst I never met #Brunel (besides in wax), he had a big influence, esp. when I helped to create @utcswindon from his old engine sheds. Legacy lives on with new engineers through education @OU_STEM
