Beautiful work!
I didn't get this done in time for the @TheRabbitRoom read-through of Phantastes last year, but here he is anyway. Scottish preacher and novelist George MacDonald, polymer clay, 7.5" tall.

A #cslewis favourite by #georgemacdonald, just re issued today! Aside from the bonus material, this 1895 edition of #thewisewoman may be the very one read by Lewis & #Tolkien back in the day!

MacDonald is named in an 1885 Pall Mall Gazette survey seeking its readers’ opinions on which author should wear the crown of greatest living novelist.

With the re release of #RobertFalconer, my entire series of #GeorgeMacDonald translations has now been re spined! These are the same unabridged works that #CSLewis, #GKChesterton, #OswaldChambers etc. read, only with help to understand the dialogue 🏴 worksofmacdonald.com/product…
Join our very own Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson for a guided read-through of one of MacDonald’s best loved novels, Phantastes! Starting May 24th! #georgemacdonald #fantasybooks #victorianliterature

Just got this guy in the post! Really pleased with the look and feel of it. Less intimidating size (6x9 inches) than my unabridged #georgemacdonald translations, and the print is very easy on the eye. "Let the MacDonald Renaissance begin!" worksofmacdonald.com/product…

While my main focus remains the translation of GM's unabridged novels, I've just had an abridgement of one of his Scottish classics published-endorsed by @AngelinaStanfo1 and @AndrewPeterson. A wonderful tale about a father & son's unbreakable bond. worksofmacdonald.com/product…

In addition to his many wonderful fantasy novels & literary fairy tales, we thank George MacDonald & his family who read and encouraged Lewis Carroll to revise and expand "Alice's Adventures Under Ground," which would become "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
Happy Birthday to George MacDonald, born on this day in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, 1824. #georgemacdonald @GMacDonaldSoc @scotlit @ScottishWriters @ScottishHistSoc @Dundee_Scots @UofGFantasy

So sad to hear of Professor Stephen Prickett’s passing. An eminent Victorian fantasy scholar, he was also wonderfully kind & particularly supportive of younger scholars’ work. He examined my PhD thesis & continued to encourage my work long after. He will be missed. @GMacDonaldSoc

Stephen Prickett was one of the most remarkable teachers I’ve had the benefit of learning from. He could tie disparate people and tidbits together in dazzling, unexpected ways. I left class every day with much to chew on. announcements.telegraph.co.u…

Stephen Prickett was such a mentor to me at Baylor. On a walk along the Canterbury trail, I was lamenting the Academy: I wish they would do this or that. He responded, “You don’t have to wish anything. You do it.” Thank you, Stephen. announcements.telegraph.co.u…
