The global COVID-19 vaccination effort is estimated to have saved around 20 million lives — in just its first year.

That is real science. It did take figuring out in other studies that a sham procedure really is the proper control for procedure not simply medical therapy
The placebo effect is a powerful and unharnessed reflex.
The first sham-controlled AF ablation trial has been done. Twenty years (and millions of procedures) after we started doing this procedure.
The study has limitations but it is a big step forward. I need to take some time to sort it out.
For now, though, our profession should have been bolder and humbler about this much sooner. #ESCCongress
