We recently sent a letter to Congress expressing our opposition to the recent #ExecutiveOrder suspending the issuance of #H1Bvisas and several other visas until 2021. The move would be detrimental to our region's #economicrecovery.
The nationwide impact of immigration is even more clear-cut: For every #H1Bvisa holder, 1.83 jobs for native-born Americans are created. We support expansion, not contraction, of high-skilled immigration programs like these.

The House just passed the #PaycheckProtectionProgram Flexibility Act by a vote of 417-1. The overwhelming bipartisan support could be an indicator of the Senate soon taking similar action, although the pending Senate version differs.
The House reconvened today to begin work on two bills to modify the #PaycheckProtectionProgram. We recently sent a letter to Congress in support of PPP reform measures, including flexibility in how small businesses cover large expenses.
