Prop 2 will make it more difficult for Great Lakes Gun Rights to hold anti-gun politicians accountable. “Michigan voters are being sold a false bill of goods that promises the impossible — to remove money from politics — while imposing unworkable rules on basic political speech,” Heather Lauer, chief executive officer of People United for Privacy Foundation, wrote in an email to CapCon. michigancapitolconfidential.…

He wants to disarm civilians. He wants to disarm cops. Only criminals will have guns if El Sayed had his way.
Wow… another unearthed clip of Abdul advocating for policing like the UK. He wants to take guns away from police officers and turn Michigan into the UK. How’s that working out for them? Reject this radical policy. Vote Mike Rogers.

The contrast between Democrat Eli Savit and Republican Doug Lloyd in the AG race coud not be more clear. Savit is a anti-gun Ann Arbor Leftist. Lloyd has pledged to protect the Second Amendment rights of Michiganders.
Democrat Eli Savit is just as radical — if not more radical — than Nessel. Savit is the Washtenaw County (the home of Ann Arbor) prosecutor. He supports Michigan’s 2023 package: “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, universal permit-to-purchase scheme, and mandatory storage. He has already called for statewide bans on bump stocks and “ghost guns.” He is endorsed by Giffords and Everytown for Gun Safety. Put him in Nessel’s seat and he will not just defend the 2023 laws. He will use the office to push the next round. @DougLloyd4ag @downi75 @NickRhudy @MichOpenCarry @Th_Midwesterner @MIGOP @gunrights @GunWashington @2aEdu greatlakesgunrights.org/late…

Republican gubernatorial candidate John James returned his Great Lakes Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun. He has pledged to support Constitutional Carry, oppose “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, and repeal Michigan’s Permit to Purchase scheme. Democrat gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson is the opposite. She has the backing of Giffords, Everytown, and Moms Demand Action. She has called for more “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation. She tried to ban guns at polling places in 2020 until the courts stopped her. A Benson administration will not sign Constitutional Carry. It will run Whitmer’s Gun Violence Prevention Task Force playbook: “Assault Weapon” Bans, magazine bans, waiting periods, and more gun confiscation. greatlakesgunrights.org/late…

CC: @DougLloyd4ag , if you win this Fall, you will be hearing from us on this. Thanks for your attention to this matter!
The time to contact your state AG and representatives about repealing messy state-level NFA laws was months ago. We need to get to work, people. There's no excuse for red states to have these laws on the books, holding gun owners back from exercising their newly restored rights.

Update from Sheriff Mike Murphy of Livingston County. In his public statement to the corporate press, he demonstrates how ignorant he is when it comes to the Michigan Firearms Act and the 4th Amendment. He’s making up nonsense.
Livingston County Sheriff Deputy illegally seized a pistol under a law that he and his boss made up out of thin air. so now they’re being sued by us and Outside Legal Counsel PLC. Guess they gotta learn the hard way about so called “registration” here. cdn.fbsbx.com/v/t59.2708-21/…

“If adopted, issue-focused nonprofits would be forced to navigate vague descriptions of regulated communications and risk triggering donor exposure requirements at the whim of enforcement officials interpreting the measure’s subjective language,” the analysis explains. Grassroots organizations like @GLGunRights would be negatively impacted by Prop 2. I will be voting No. As I've said here before, there was a better way of dealing with this issue than this poorly written unconstitutional piece of garbage.

This tracks. It was during the last legislative term that it was revealed that only one Democrat in both the House and the Senate was a hunter. I know folks who are Democrats and who are hunters, but that divide is growing by the day.
Democrats likely tend not to hunt for several reasons. Hunting requires access to land, time, gear, a comfort with taking a life, and a household that still knows and values how to do it. They also live in a world that made hunting look violent, unnecessary, and impossible. @TheFairChase1

The most amusing fact about the '94 "assault weapons" ban: Before it, most Americans weren't especially interested in the AR-15. After it passed, interest jumped. After it expired, it exploded. Gun grabbers created their own "problem."
That federal AWB was a joke, which is why it's hilarious when modern antigunners claim it reduced mass shootings.

Jocelyn Benson is looking to finish the work that Gov. Whitmer started. If Democrats take complete control of Lansing, they will work to eviscerate our rights. Help us expose and fight their gun grab agenda by chipping today>>> greatlakesgunrights.org/dona…

Here's hoping Michigan's draconian Permit to Purchase and de facto registration scheme are thrown to the trash bin of history by the courts.

Don't forget that he also wants to "tweak" the Second Amendment and wants to ban the most commonly-owned firearm in America. But hey, let's let violent criminals out on to the streets while also disarming Americans.
LEAKED: Footage of Abdul El-Sayed fundraising last night in the California home of the far-left Soros family. Abdul’s education was paid for by the Soros family and NOW they are funding his campaign to make him a U.S. Senator The Soros family is funding Abdul because he will carry out their agenda of: ➡️ defunding the police ➡️ emptying prisons, and letting violent criminals & sex offenders back onto the streets ➡️ gender transition surgeries for minors ➡️ allowing illegals to vote in American elections Abdul is too extreme for Michigan.

Jocelyn Benson is endorsed by every anti-gun organization in America. They all support gun bans, gun confiscation, carry bans and want to make it virtually impossible for you to actually own firearms. What do you think she is going to do if Democrats take complete control of the Michigan Legislature?

Thank you to everyone who tagged us on the post about the Giffords and their March For Our Lives endorsing Garrett’s Law, which intends to amend the federal Gun Control Act to add high-powered airguns. This would include guns like the Daisy 880. Their goal is to eventually include all airguns. If passed it will treat airguns guns producing “high velocity” as firearms. That bill was introduced Sept. 24, 2026, to the House of Representatives. Details: it would add all airguns that produce 800 or more feet per second velocities in .177 caliber, and all pellets over .25 caliber. So far there’s been no further action, but it bears watching very closely.
