Yeah wouldn’t want to rush things and introduce Marvel Girl as some murdering traumatized revenge seeking psycho. Although I mostly enjoyed Brand New Day I did not like the inclusion of Jean Grey.
🚨Kevin Feige reportedly revealed this about the X-Men’s place in the MCU:
“There’s been a lot of pressure to rush the X-Men in as quickly as possible after Doomsday. I slowed it down. If we introduce them the wrong way, we damage the characters for years. Cyclops has to be the center. Wolverine will be important, but he can’t be the only thing holding the franchise up. We need the team dynamics, the ideological fights, and the actual weight of what it means to be a mutant in this universe. That’s the version I’m fighting for.”
