📢 Happening Now: Creating Markets for Circular Economy 🛠️ Governments have a number of tools available to create markets for the circular economy. They can drive demand for circular products through e Green Public Procurement (GPP) by prioritizing eco-friendly items, encouraging manufacturers to adopt sustainable practices. ♻️ Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) makes producers responsible for their products' entire lifecycle, promoting durable, repairable, and recyclable designs, reducing waste, and supporting refurbished product markets. 💰 Public finance can boost the circular economy by investing in sustainable projects and incentivizing green initiatives through guarantees or tax benefits, fostering renewable energy and green technology startups. Central Asian countries need stronger regulatory frameworks and greater public and private sector engagement to fully benefit from a circular economy.
