Pleasantly surprised to receive the inaugural issue of Rap Central Station Central Magazine. There’s something special about holding a physical copy instead of navigating a digital landmine. It’s nostalgic yet very relevant! 👏🏿🎤📖 @MrChuckD

The word “memorize” has become a bit of a taboo word in the world of education. But just like kids need to read words with automaticity (ex. not have to decode every sound in every word), they also need to know their multiplication tables with automaticity (ex. not have to draw equal groups of objects to figure out what 7x8 is!)
I tell my own two kids that memorizing their multiplication tables is akin to memorizing their letter/sound correspondences. Both are foundational stepping stones to proficiency. And repeated practice makes permanent!!!!
