Capitalism reduces profit margins and the rate of profit on capital inves ted. If capitalists and their buying for the sake of selling did not exist, profits would equal 100 percent of sales and an infinite percentage of the value of capital invested, which last would be zero. Capitalism and its buying for the sake of selling reduce profit margins and the rate or profit on capital invested to the few percent that prevail today.

Under capitalisms everyone benefits enormously from the wealth of the capitalists. That wealth is invested in the production of all of the goods and services that people buy. When someone buys an automobile, for example, he benefits from all of the capitalists’ wealth that is invested in the production of automobiles, and not only automobiles but also in steel mills and iron mines, all the wealth that is directly or indirectly necessary to the production of automobiles. This includes oil fields and power plants. Under capitalism, the self-interest of everyone lies with everyone being as rich as possible, because their wealth will contribute to more and better goods being available in the market. Everyone’s self-interest is served by the existence of billionaires.

Some Democrats claim that Iran is wining the war with us. Apparently, they also believe that Germany won World War II. This would help to explain how they have becpome not only socialists but Jew-hatinng nztional socialists, i.e., Nazis.

Trump should have been satisfied with demolishing 10 or 20 Iranian bridges a day, day after day, rather than all of them in a sigle day. That would have been a plan he could actually have executed and would at some point have forced the Iranians to do whatever we wanted them to do. Destroying all the bridges in a single day was too severe a penalty for Trump, or any other normal human being, actually to carry it out. So, unless our course is changd, the Iranians will likely avoid any serious punishment.

In the last few months, I've twice had the experience of being unable to post on X because too much time had supposedly gone by since my precious post. Does anyone know anything about this phenomenon? How often must one post to avoid it?
