We did a podcast! #SoupInTheLoop
Spreading the word about a certain bird known as Good for Nothing Chester ❤️ We talk about community, participatory cities, hacks, GFNrs, planet & Chester’s USP. All in the name of #MakeChester 👀 Check out our video: youtu.be/5bQwE2K_0xg
The one where Tim Foxon drew GFN.
Tim is one of the Chester contemporary artists & we had so much fun creating our ‘No Look’ portraits at our 10th birthday celebrations.
We will be revealing some of the Picasso-esque portraits we came across in the coming days - guess who!
3 nights ago we celebrated our 10th birthday & we’ve only just come back down to earth ❤️ The loft @commonhall was bursting with the enegry of GFNrs old and new, listening & connecting over ideas that #makechester a great place to live, learn, work & play. HUGE thanks to all 🚀
So who is our magnificent mystery guest? With just T-24hrs to go we're thrilled that one of @ChesterContemp's artists (the man behind the tiny clown bike!) is joining us create his now infamous 'No Look' Portraits. Tim Foxon. A force for good. #IlloveChetser #MakeChester
Here is the final lineup for our 10th birthday party! Joining Uná and @holly_ffi is an epic changemaker collective doing good in our city and ready to tell us about it. But WHO the heckins is our magnificent mystery guest✏️? (All will be revealed on here tomorrow! 🥁)
A GFNr from Day Dot, our final speaker Tom has been quoted in many a talk as saying "If you want to live in an interesting place, then you must contribute to it". And as co-founder of The Natural Veg Men, @9mealsanarchy & @wemurmur, he has definitely done that.
Our next speaker is a key changemaker across the city.
Tony Swindells is passionate about shaping the future of Chester & shares our belief that creativity is at the heart of its future success. Tony has co-founded an exciting addition to our high street, ŌH Design Foundation.
Our 2nd birthday talk comes from a firm favourite in the city's street performance scene, known to many as Mr Pee Wee! Dave Southern now runs a project called @Pavementology_ which celebrates the unique and often undervalued art form of street performance 🎭
Have you heard we’re having a party? The theme is Connection and our first speaker is co-founder of @FallenAngelsDT, Claire Morris.
She believes creativity & arts participation is a human right, and they support people to share their recovery journey through dance & performance❤️
And have you heard we’re 10yrs old? We have an extra special birthday party planned for GFNrs so check your emails (we’ve sent a few) and sign up 🥳
Calling all GFNrs and ventures we've helped! We're 10 years old and we'd love you to celebrate with us 🥳 Thurs 16 Nov @commonhall RSVP here: eventbrite.co.uk/e/gfn-chest…

Next weekend is the launch of #ChesterContemporary. There is lots of activity across the city as installations come together!
Ryan Gander has curated a fascinatingly eclectic programme of stunning works from international and emerging artists for his native city of Chester.
