Talking to a French coastguard contact (Gus) today - his English not perfect but the point was clear:
So I looked it up he's right!

Under UN Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and UNCLOS, the duty of a coastal state is to STOP overcrowded, unseaworthy vessels leaving its ports.
👇👇👇👇👇👇
If such a vessel is at sea and a French vessel is the first to it, the duty is to take it back to the nearest safe port - which is France.
It is NOT the duty of the UK to then take over the chaperoning of an unsuitable vessel across the Channel.
Stop them at the point of departure. Return them to France if intercepted by French assets. That's what maritime safety law actually says.
It's all in The UN document

Why is it that you cannot hear a single engined aircraft 675ft above you but cannot miss another aircraft at 30,000 ft roaring overhead 🤔

Researchers spent 500 hours and $70,000 and found LG TVs logging plain text transcripts in standby, mapping every device in the house, and feeding it to LG's ad arm
Unplug the internet and it saves the files until you plug back in.
LG says its TVs don't record ambient conversations.
The evidence begs to differ.
216 million of these are sitting in living rooms.
Where are the regulators?

Dolly was next to me at the microphone, and we were reminiscing about when we made Islands in the Stream, among other memories. She suddenly turned to me and said, “Where we are standing right now is where I wrote Jolene, and I Will Always Love You.”
