or so they say. If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times. Ironically, I’ve most often heard this sentiment from the lips of Bible teachers who have clearly spent no shortage of time deep in commentaries themselves.
Though laudable in its effort to elevate Scripture, this hermeneutic misses the mark.
