(G2E) consortium.
A further milestone for the programme as teams from Italy, Japan and the UK receive a contract from @EdgewingLtd to develop the game-changing technology for GCAP's next generation combat aircraft. 🇮🇹🇯🇵🇬🇧
🔴 #LDO_PR The @EdgewingLtd joint venture between @Leonardo_live, Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co. Ltd. (JAIEC) and @BAESystemsplc has awarded a contract to the GCAP Electronics Evolution (G2E) consortium to further develop the integrated sensing and communications for the Global Combat Air Programme (#GCAP).
G2E – comprising @ELTGrp (Italy), #Leonardo (Italy), Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Japan) and Leonardo UK Ltd. (UK) – is focused on delivering the Integrated Sensing And Non-Kinetic Effects (#ISANKE) and Integrated Communications Systems (ICS) that will make the GCAP jet fighter a sensor powerhouse.

Today we welcomed Italian Ambassador Fabio Cassese to our Reading HQ. The visit with #GCAP & @EdgewingLtd leadership highlighted the strong cooperation between 🇮🇹 🇯🇵 🇬🇧 on the future of combat air. The ambassador also met with Italian personnel working on delivery and innovation.
