Could be a special goal for a special career. I have a feeling we’ll see that Sullivan goal played 1000 times in the next 20 years. Dos a cero.

France getting embarrassed by and England team that just suffered arguably the most crushing loss of the entire World Cup is high comedy. The white flag nation.

More brazen every day

Jude Bellingham’s last two games have been pretty legendary performances. Feels like he’s the final form of Dele Alli. What a player.

Oh it is extremely weird to see Naz in another jersey

GOAT

Uh oh

Woke up extremely depressed about the World Cup and it took exactly one game to pull me all the way back in

Best USMNT team of my lifetime played like the best USMNT team of my lifetime then Trump got involved and they suddenly became deer in the headlights. Got a tremendous draw and botched it right back to where we always go. It’s gonna be a long four year wait for 2030.

They finally stoped playing scared and then Freese gives up one of the worst goals you’ll ever see. I’m absolutely sick

Let’s goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Happy 250 from the last frontier. This is just somebody’s backyard view in Alaska.

Gutted for Cape Verde. They deserved a better draw than this. What a team.

In a World Cup that’s been headlined by superstar goalscorers and brilliant underdog performers, Messi versus Cape Verde is the best possible matchup we could get and it’s so sad that this is a Round of 32 game. Losing one of these teams here is devastating.

If you’re not a frequent soccer watcher, Messi can really ruin other players for you. That first touch was so casual despite being absurdly difficult.

Ref couldn’t be bothered to take the yellow out for a bunch of intentional fouls, but VAR comes through for a red on an ugly yet incidental tackle. Total botch job that has major implications for the next game.
