“do i need to hold you hand like a 𝒃𝒂𝒃𝒚 so you won’t open the bag before we can even get into the house ? ” he joked , climbing out of the driver’s seat and opening the passenger’s door for jesse. “ see ? chivalry 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 dead. —

“ there’s lots of reasons actually. but i’m pretty sure we’d be here all night if i started listing them off. ” he’s pulling up into the driveway , thanking the universe ( and grilled cheesus ) , for not crashing the car. —

“ good , because you 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 having those hives . . . your shoulder’s okay , right ? you don’t need ice or anything ? ” finn needed more reassurance that his punch didn’t do 𝒕𝒐𝒐 much damage.

a little worried that the other would want to test his theory out.

he focused back on the road , a little shaky now. driving with an audience . . . was weird. “ oh come on ! we’re almost there. and don’t think i wouldn’t hesitate to rip it out of your little hands. ” the quarterback teased , —

“ you better not laugh ! you know what — i 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 actually do that now. ” finn rolled his eyes , glancing over at the other at a red light. “ i mean . . . you 𝒂𝒓𝒆 irresistible. sort of why we’re dating. ” —

he’s happily obliging , landing a series of even 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 kisses to his boyfriend’s shoulder , with a grand finale of a soft peck to the other male’s lips. “ 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 you say , jessica. ”

fine , i’ll drop it. you’re 𝐧𝐨𝐭 a sensitive little baby and you 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 like it when i’m mean to you ? does that sound right ? ”

finn landed a few more kisses to the other’s shoulder , pulling away. “ that better ? ” finn noticed the pink hue on the other’s cheeks — but he’s not going to comment on it. he’s pretty sure that if he did 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗻 would be the one getting punched. —

he turned the volume down so that it was just barely audible. “ why would i tell you what’s in the bag ? it’s a 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆. it’s like a five minute drive so . . . you’ll live. ”

an immediate breakup. “ y’know , if you really wanted to get me to 𝗰𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 you , you didn’t have to spray yourself with that , you could’ve just asked. ” he teased the other , fingers messing with the radio , until he’d finally got it to the soft rock station. —

and staring out the window would’ve drove him 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒛𝒚. he began to pull off , having to unfortunately take his eyes off of the other and focus them on the road — finn wasn’t the best driver , and he was pretty sure that a car accident would be a launching pad for —

“ hey — i was bored. next time , i’ll just read shakespeare , just to make 𝒚𝒐𝒖 happy. ” okay , he’d never actually do that in a million years. but the bored part 𝐰𝐚𝐬 true , finn had a microscopic attention span , —

thank you , brain , for giving him a reason to change the subject. “ you wore the cologne that i like ! ”

but forgot to actually turn it 𝘰𝘧𝘧 , so the angry birds music continued to play. and after a few seconds , finn was forced to 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 fish into his pockets and retrieve his phone to shut it off. after a few more moments , he noticed the other’s scent. —

he sat there in silence for a couple of minutes . . . and almost 𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒅 of boredom. he finally caved in , opening up angry birds in 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞. when the other climbed into the passenger’s seat , finn frantically shoved his phone into his pocket , —

he loved the affection — it was his love language , actually. physical affection was 𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 , something he didn’t have to read between the lines to understand. finn threw the sack in his backseat, and climbed back into his car. —
