30. ❤️ There are many things I don’t have. Things I’ve prayed for, worked towards, hoped for, and sometimes wondered when they would finally become mine. There are places I thought I’d have reached by now, dreams I thought would have come true, and versions of my life I imagined would look different at this point. But there are also so many things I have. Things I once prayed for without knowing how or when they would happen. Things I have grown so accustomed to that I sometimes forget they are blessings too. I have life. I have people I love. I have people who love me. I have a family, friendships, opportunities, lessons, memories, and the privilege of waking up to another year. I have survived days I didn’t know how to get through, found strength in moments I felt weak, and kept going even when life didn’t look the way I wanted it to. And for that, I am grateful. Thirty feels different. It’s not that I suddenly have everything figured out. If anything, I’m becoming more comfortable with the fact that I don’t. I’m learning that life doesn’t always happen according to our timelines, that growth isn’t always loud, and that you can be grateful for where you are while still wanting more for yourself. I’m learning to honour the woman I’ve been, embrace the woman I am, and make room for the woman I’m becoming. I’m proud of the things I’ve achieved, forgiving myself for the things I haven’t, and giving myself permission to experience life without constantly feeling like I’m running out of time. So, as I step into this new decade, my prayer is simple: May I never become so consumed by what is missing that I fail to appreciate what is present. May I have the courage to pursue the things I desire, the wisdom to recognise what truly matters, and the grace to enjoy the journey, even when it looks nothing like the plan. May this decade bring me closer to the life I envision, deeper into the person I’m meant to become, and more aware of the blessings that surround me. I may not have everything I want, but I have so much to be thankful for. And today, that is enough reason to celebrate. Happy 30th birthday to me. 🥂❤️
