Democratic Rep. Haley Stevens endorsed Republican Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate in Detroit on Sunday, telling reporters
We can't stand with hate. We can't stand with Hasan Piker.
Stevens, who lost the Democratic Senate primary to Abdul El-Sayed, appeared with Rogers after a service at Perfecting Church two days before Election Day.
She said El-Sayed had made clear she was not welcome in his campaign.
El-Sayed attempted insult backfired.
Well, this backfired spectacularly
First Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed mocked Pete Hegseth's athletic career and took shots at his parents for cheering him on
Hegseth's dad decided to have a little fun.
He posted a family photo with Pete in his basketball jersey, writing:
"Just two supportive parents still supporting their benchwarming son!"
Imagine mocking a mother for being proud of her son, only to have the entire family turn your insult into a punchline.
Pete's dad wins the internet today.
