Genuinely hoping people will turn out for this movie.
I understand Laika has never really been profitable, so this isn’t shocking, but a PG-13 animated film doing well could really open the door for more mature animated art getting made and supported.
So so excited for this!
Laika’s ’WILDWOOD’ is early tracking to earn only $6M-$10M on its domestic opening weekend.
• Budget was of around $100M
• One of the lowest openings for an animated film in 2026

Stealth and combat are tough, and while it was initially frustrating, it’s becoming a genuinely tense challenge as I’ve gotten the hang of the systems
