It is time for a simple rewrite of the rules: We need to index the votes of index fund investors. Passive index funds should be forced to automatically split their votes to proportionately mirror those of retail and active institutional shareholders — the people actually doing the research, risking their capital, and fighting for performance in the companies they hold shares in. No more rubber-stamping. A change like this will immediately strip corrupt gatekeepers like ISS of their toxic influence. True accountability happens when lazy, overpaid boards actually answer to the stakeholders they represent, rather than screwing them over. Actual, logic-driven governance when your money is passive happens when your vote passively follows the voting decisions of the actual market. We need to stop letting passive capital protect active incompetence. By stripping index funds of their arbitrary voting power and empowering engaged investors, we will finally torch corporate cronyism and usher American capital markets into a golden age of capitalism.

What's happening? Left theory trains people to see society through systems of domination that create victims and oppressors. That framing demoralizes people and destabilization follows. People start seeing hostile categories instead of fellow citizens. Victimhood gives moral license to strike back, while the rescuer role pulls others in to validate and escalate. Think of the Karpman drama triangle: victim, persecutor, rescuer. It is a simple pattern. Someone sees herself as the victim. Someone else becomes the persecutor. A third person steps in as the rescuer. Now scale that up from individuals to whole groups. Left theory does this constantly. Women are victims of patriarchy. Racial minorities are victims of white supremacy. Workers are victims of capitalism. The language changes, but the structure stays the same. One group is harmed, another benefits, and the oppressive system explains why. Left theory does two moves here. First, people get reduced to the group or system they supposedly represent. The individual disappears behind the category. Some guy is no longer just some guy. He becomes “patriarchy” in human form. Second, the promised goal of liberation changes how actions are judged. If you believe you are fighting oppression, then aggression becomes resistance, punishment becomes justice, and tearing things down becomes progress. Once people see themselves this way, aggression can start to feel righteous. Think about the framing. If you are the victim and some guy represents the system hurting you, then hostility toward him feels justified. It becomes self-defense, resistance, even liberation. Then other people who share the same frame get pulled in as rescuers. They validate the grievance, defend the victim, and punish the persecutor. The framework now has everything it needs to turn individual grievance into group conflict. To be clear, much of the theory (aside from people like Sartre and Fanon) talks about dismantling oppressive structures rather than killing oppressors. But the distinction is unstable. If actual people are treated as the carriers, beneficiaries, and enforcers of the system, the abstract enemy quickly gets a human face. Then the process feeds itself. Grievance becomes identity. Identity gives moral permission. Victimhood attracts rescuers. Rescuers reinforce the grievance. The conflict spreads and spreads and eventually reaches a crisis point. That is the destabilizing function of the framework here. Men and women distrust each other. Racial groups distrust each other. People distrust their history, institutions, and inherited norms. Every relationship becomes political. Every difference becomes evidence of domination. So, a stable society depends on people believing they belong to something together. Demoralization attacks that belief first. Destabilization follows. Once enough people believe their society is fundamentally oppressive and the people around them are agents of that oppression, they begin tearing apart the trust that holds the society together.
