If fuel doesn’t run out, you can thank the EV drivers.
That’s because globally, electric vehicles are already displacing around 1.7 MILLION barrels of oil demand EVERY DAY.
That’s roughly 620 million barrels a year that would otherwise be consumed by those EV drivers driving inefficient ICE vehicles as well.
Less demand for petrol and diesel means less pressure on the fuel supply that everyone else relies on.
So if you pull into your local petrol station this week and there’s actually fuel left…
You’re welcome.
Maybe give the next EV driver you see a little wave 👋

Something just changed in European trucking.
Electric trucks are now cheaper to own than diesel in 6 major EU markets representing 46% of EU heavy-truck sales.
5-year savings: 🇳🇱 €100k
🇩🇪 €85k
🇩🇰 €69k
The diesel shock just moved the tipping point.

The current dividend yield of the S&P 500 is 1.12%. The 10yr Treasury is now 5.26%. Eventually somebody is going to wake up 😴.

Do you want a few hundred thousand followers on X and to make at least $50k/month from newsletters and follower fees?
Just have an improbable target for $Gold, like $10k, or $1m for $BTC. The reasoning is not really important, but it should definitely involve some variant of "the fiat system is about to collapse because of the debt". Then set a target for the event, like 6 months forward. Then move it 6 months forward every 3 months, because of "unforeseen circumstances", like some action by Warsh and/or Bessent, which "only postpones the inevitable".
No more complicated than that. Millions of people ready to believe every word, because a system collapse is their deepest innermost desire: they can't cope with the current one.

US Treasuries are experiencing one of the worst bear markets in history:
The 30Y US Treasury price return index has dropped -60% since 2020, to ~107, matching its lowest level in 2000.
In other words, in just 6 years, the index has erased nearly 20 years of gains.
By comparison, US nominal GDP has grown +63% over the same period.
This comes as the 30Y Treasury yield has surged +478 basis points from its intraday low of 0.71% set in March 2020.
To put this into perspective, its previous largest drawdown over the past 40 years was -35% during the 2008 Financial Crisis.
We are witnessing a historic bond market decline.

The Argument For Clean Energy Has Flipped
"Last week, the @IEA published a report called Electrification. Its central thesis can be traced back to 2009, when a Stanford engineer named Mark Jacobson wrote an article for Scientific American presciently arguing that we could power 100% of the planet with renewables. At the time, this was a somewhat niche position."
...
"The IEA’s new report borrows many of the same concepts, and lists the benefits of electrification in the same order: energy security first, competitiveness second, and emissions third (think how different this is to the moral argument for taking climate action)."

Defunct golf courses are becoming THE PLACE to build large-scale solar projects in Japan 🇯🇵☀️
The land is already cleared, gets good sun, and courses are cheap (thanks to a declining interest in the sport)

Trading Sardines should be back in stock on Amazon sometime this week for U.S. traders. And, it is now available in print on demand format for those outside the US (check your local Amazon)!
