Mass deportation headlines. Uncertainty everywhere. The dream has become a nightmare. Companies are learning their lobbyists cannot protect them forever. H1B job posts asking why no American can be found are ruining the reputation of universities and employers alike. Politicians are frozen. The ones who try to speak in favor of this system are getting blasted. Now those on an H1B are panicking. It does not take much to lose the position. It does not matter if a buddy has a job waiting.
