Trump has no intention of having a functioning government after he’s been in power for a while. His funders and handlers have a plan for America that has nothing to do with democracy or any of our norms. His handlers want only oligarchs trading favors without country boundaries. They plan to accomplish this so fast that his base doesn’t even know what’s happening. The North Korean model, or Russian model, with oligarchs and wealthy power brokers, contrasted with massive poverty, endured by brainwashed populous is the plan.

To the @SenateGOP: I know you want to own the libs more than anything, but is risking national security really worth it? It may feel good in the moment, but you’ll own those picks—and all the consequences they bring—for years to come. Be smart. Require the background checks.

I did nuclear security for a few years after I got out of the Marines. Because we were armed with unfettered access to nuclear reactors, and were given special knowledge on nuclear vulnerabilities, that job required a Q clearance (Top Secret equivalent). It was not optional 🧵

Unfortunately, now with the US election of the #Broligarchy, the prospect of any improvement is utterly delusional. The #Broligarchs know how bad things are which is why they are all building bunkers. They expect a majority of humanity to die. #DontLookUp

A short thread on what refusal to comply can look like, with specifics, examples, and ideas for what the future may hold. Actually IDK if it's gonna be short, but it's gonna be specific, so read on if you're curious.

As a Venezuelan-American, I’m thankful for this thread that put together all my concerns about what’s in development here today. There is one key element missing about Venezuela: blatant corruption. All of them stole with both hands at a time in a complex criminal scheme.

That is what bad/incompetent governance does. There is a reason why the ultra-wealthy, such as Bezos and Buffett are cashing out of the stock market. They know a crash is coming. Grossly incompetent governance can only go one way. Congratulations America! 15/end

This is the heavily edited and distorted video accompanying the tweet. It features two young women, Chloe and Shauna. A very despondent Chloe starts out by saying she's in a homeless hub for the last 5 months. Then it cuts to a smiley Shauna saying she got a place to live.

For those who suggest the big problem for the Dems was information silos -- the fact that Trump targeted livestreamers/podcasters/YouTubers -- and that's where a lot of people, especially young people get info, that's true, but, there's something to consider. A 🧵...

The thing that gets me is just how many things had to go just right to get Trump back in office. It would be too fantastical for a Netflix series. Congress failed to impeach him. Then failed to apply the 14th Amendment to him. Garland dicked around for 18 months,

Where did Trump voters get their news? 📰 Yes, there's social and partisan sites, but there is another influential strategy that isn't getting enough attention: Manipulated, pay-to-play and all out fake news sites I've been covering a mix of those for years. Here's a primer 🧵

Social media did not help the situation. It's no longer about sharing our lives. It can now be used to misinform and misguide people. And the younger generation has no reference to what it was like before this.

This is a love letter to my fellow Millennials. We’ve been to hell & back, chronically overlooked & undervalued, yet somehow younger generations call us ‘pushovers’. Because they don’t understand the courage it takes to go through what we went through & still decide to be kind 🩷

It’s crystal clear that other generations aren’t going to save us. It’s not fair to have to spend our entire lives fighting against the complete erosion of our human rights by people who lack basic decency & are ruled by greed. But if anyone’s up to the task, it’s Millennials 16/

We watched Roe v Wade end. We watched white supremacy be normalized. We watched xenophobia go mainstream. We watched dog whistles build into deafening roars. & it’s exactly what we said would happen if we ran the same, tired playbook. The system would do what it’s always done 14/

The Trump years brought about Millennials like AOC & Jon Ossoff, who demonstrated the power of being bold & unapologetic. & even still, older generations scolded these younger leaders, selfishly clung to power, & refused to change course. They insisted: trust the status quo. 11/
