Honestly was hoping this league would be delayed. This launching in between wow forever and gta6 (and poe2 1 month after) is going to make this such a short lived league, which is a shame if it's suppose to be The endgame patch.
I also really dislike how they keep launching both patches within 1 month of each other, if they're on 4 month cycles wouldn't 2 months between both games just be better?
Spent a week writing down my thoughts for my Final feedback video for Path of exile 2. I think poe2 is a great game, but still has a lot to improve and hoping 1.0 will address the current issues in the game.

WoW forever has been pretty fun and personally really enjoy a lot of the changes. This is my short review.
The good
1) All professions feel really good and worth lvling early on now, I was even profiting a lot with enchanting which is usually a gold a sink profession early on.
2) Gear progression for both spell casters and ap users feel great from 1-20, you get way more meaningful upgrades.
3) Normalizing buffs (60 minutes for every buff, including paladins) is great.
4) pets for both locks/hunter feel way more impactful, voidwalker could hold aggro, they also get ap/hp from your gear now.
5) Having access to retail UI/auction house is great, substantially cuts down on needing addons for the base game to be playable.
6) most of the class changes/tree changes seem really good, probably not properly balanced, so hopefully patches once the game is live are frequent.
The bad
1) Game is substantially easier from my testing so far, my lock is doing around 20-25%~ more dps at lvl 20 compared to original classic because of how much SP gear you get. Not sure how this is for each class though.
Combined with the improved talents, it wouldn't surprise me if this is by far the easiest version of wow we're going to have, but maybe the endgame raids/dungeons are a bit more challenging (hopefully so).
2) Sharding is a bit jank at times, randomly loaded a times while walking without a warning.
3) The dungeon mob exp nerf is a bit harsh, it's around 80% less exp. Surely it didn't need to be reduced by this much to deter dungeon grinding. Doing a dungeon a 2nd time just never feels worth, which feels lame if you want to help out friends, you just get 0 exp.
4) Not sure why, but they're mixing retail graphics with classic and it looks extremely out of place, maybe it's a placeholder, but new enemies should have a classic design/feel and not be modern 2026 wow graphics.
Overall it's pretty good and I been enjoying my time. I feel like most of the negatives can be fixed before launch, but we'll see how often blizzard patches the game.
I wasn't expecting a Diablo 5 announcement but I do believe it's the correct decision, d4 has too much negative stigma around it and just too many core issues that can't be fixed without getting a new game.
Just gotta hope they don't repeat the same mistakes in d5. I also really hope set gear isn't like d3 and more like d2 instead, since they want to bring it back.
Been enjoying 0.5.5 a lot more than I thought I would. Poe2 is generally really fun and the loot in the game feels good from start to finish. Everything in the endgame feels rewarding and worth doing.
Main complaints are still going to be tablets and cities, the whole buying experience and price checking is the biggest burnout with tablets, really hoping they get reworked one day.
Headhunter and Mageblood achieved in under 24hrs, my biggest drop was only 7d (didn't get either from Ritual). This was by far my strongest league starter and imo is the best league starter build in 0.5.5 (flameblast oil grenade). I was able to do 200% deli with 180% rarity on day 1, while insta-killing every boss in the game.
My 0.5.5 League Start Tier list, showcasing a plethora of builds for those that are still deciding on what to play.

Initial thoughts on 0.5.5 meta. While there is no direct balance changes, the way you play and farm has changed a bit since 0.5 launch.
Current farm meta is either 200% deli abyss or expedition, requiring a high dmg/tank character, I don't think speed is a big factor in this meta right now. If new ultimatum is also good, that'll be another farm where speed is less relevant.
I expect builds like grim pillars, oil grenade flame blast and chayula poison to be strong league starters, high dmg and low budget to start juicing. These builds end up having millions of dps for a few divine investment.
Of course ice shot and twisters are still strong, I just feel like the speed factor on them isn't as relevant with our current farm meta, optimizing for dmg and tank is optimal.
CoC comet spark is still the best build with temporalis though.
A lot more endgame changes than I honestly expected. Wildwood wisp as another juicing mechanic is nice, ultimatum actually seems worth doing and potentially fun? 0.5.5 will also come with a fresh economy.
Unfortunate there's no balance changes, going into a new patch and already knowing the best build for everything is a bit boring.
Also still concerned with endgame being city hunt with deli mirror fishing. Was something I was hoping they would address.

I wonder if this is the 1.0 announcement and the stream on the 27th is the 0.5.5 announcement? at the very least, we might finally get a date or a rough date for 1.0 launch in poe2
Path of Exile 2 is coming to Opening Night Live at @gamescom
Join us on August 25 at 11am PDT for an exclusive reveal you won't want to miss!

Curious how big 0.5.5 is going to be in poe2? I wasn't expecting a full live stream and a q&a to come with it, might almost be equivalent to a real league?
As far as we know, 0.5.5 should have balance changes, potentially new ascendancies and maybe a new mechanic.

Short review of Mortal Shell 2 as an avid souls players.
Total playtime: 17hrs
The good:
1) Combat feels really solid
2) Every weapon feels different and impactful
3) The shells are a cool system, though the balance is far off.
4) Good diversity of areas in the game, mountain, snow areas, towns, forest, crypts, etc
5) Really nice graphics/art direction, game looks and feels very polished.
The bad:
1) Balance overall is just really bad
Example: almost every normal mob does more dmg than any boss in the game. Almost every grab will one shot your shell from full HP, even the tankier shells like proxima.
The same is true for player as well, some shells are just 4x stronger than others and completely trivialize the game, I do feel like balance is important in a souls-like, some people are going to think this game is easy if they just chose the correct shell and other will think it's completely unfair BS if they chose a weak shell, balance is just that bad. Weapon balance felt pretty fair at least from my limited playtime.
2) Needing to equip useless stones to upgrade your main stone. This just feels like an outdated mechanic from early 2000 games, not sure why it's here.
3) Extremely stingy with resources, I couldn't get a 2nd shell to tier 3 until 80% of the game was done and I could only max out 2 shells in the 1st playthrough. Considering the shell system is the whole gimmick, pretty lame how you can't even experience them all unless you do 4 playthroughs.
Same is true for weapons, if you don't play proxima you'll only be able to play with 1 weapon your 1st playthrough unless you do an extreme amount of grinding.
4) Really stingy with "Bonfires" you can easily visit 3 dungeons in this game, that all have a boss at the end without ever running into a bonfire, makes exploring kinda tedious because you just end up running through every mob instead of wanting to fight them (cant waste resources).
Overall I feel like all the negatives can easily be fixed with patches over the next few months, the core gameplay is really solid and usually the hardest thing to get right in these type of games.
My rating would be 6.5 or so, but could easily go to 8 or 9 depending on what they decide to fix over the next patches. Had the most fun in the first 9hrs and felt pretty negative towards the end.
