If you are hyper-focused on aim improvement and are not afraid of DIY.
History of the project here-

Tester feedback here-

I am not anti-aim trainer. I am not anti-coaching. I do not want to take away from the past/future accomplishments of aim experts.
I am also not offering any sort of magic way around learning and practice. You still have to put in the work.
If anyone tells you otherwise, they are not arguing in good faith. 60 seconds of research will confirm all of these things to be true. And if they can't spend that long to verify, they were probably trolling anyway.
Testing data formats and variables that need to be controlled are in the linked post.
I know there is a ton to read here, thanks for your time spent looking at this. I do appreciate it.
TLDR: the video is 2 years old. No cheats here. Nothing for sale.
If you are interested in the "desk height/sensitivity combinations for aim accuracy" testing that I posted about yesterday, a format to consider using is below.
If you are able to test different desk heights and combinations, then share aim trainer score results, it would be much appreciated. Testing these (or getting other people to test them), and/or getting others to talk about this is SUPER HELPFUL for moving this project forward.
For anyone that missed it yesterday, we are looking to show that making adjustments to desk height and sensitivity has a profound impact on aim accuracy and consistency. We need more people to test this principle and show their results.
Understanding what variables need to be controlled when testing is important, and having a standard format for data makes it easier for others to understand what is being measured.
A. Variables that need to be controlled
- Chair height
- Mouse that you use
- Mouse pad that you use
- Mouse grip that you use
- Overall posture (as much as reasonably possible)
- Mouse skates that you use
B. Variables that need to be controlled if at all possible
- Room lighting
- Mouse pad humidity
C. Variables to adjust (and also document)
- Desk height
- Total in-game sens (DPI multiplied by in-game sens)
For the items in list A, these all need to stay the same between test runs. If any of these is changed in any significant way, you will need to start testing over again, or swap to a different spreadsheet to record the new data.
For the items in list B, do what you can to control these. If you can't do much to keep these the same over long sessions, you should only document data that was gathered under similar circumstances.
Suggestions for these...
I use a blackout curtain and keep the light off in my office so that lighting is always exactly the same.
I have sweaty hands, so I don't start recording data until my hands are fully sweaty. I also use a humidity resistant mousepad, usually an Artisan Hien or Zero.
If you use a glass pad, consider using a small desk fan pointed into the pad to evaporate any sweat.
I think that is all the information needed. If I left anything out, or if anything is unclear, please ask questions.
I have a tendency to leave out info, so I will clean this up and repost if necessary. Thanks.
Spreadsheet format is linked at the bottom of this post.
Yesterday's super wordy and long post (and further information about the history of this project) can be found here...

If you are a consistency fanatic and are serious about your aim, do not eat at your desk. Any food particles or grease that end up in your mouse pad could end up causing damage that you can't wash out.

Make it Real 365 Challenge - Day 88
New ones came in today, and they're so much smaller you almost can't see them!
See NEW vs OLD 👀
When I get some free time after the HAWK, I will put them everywhere.
First, back to the lab this week unless I still can't solve HAWKs space issues.
A/B testing is extremely useful. Train yourself to be neutral and judge things on their own merits. Don't play favorites with your settings or any perceived results. #aimDIY
Man, I played this game so much around beta, then launch, and loved it. I really would like to give this another chance, but the solo ranked experience is so dogshit. And if I can only play ranked in a stack, I don't even want to play.
Choose one row. It gets completely deleted from existence, like those games were never created. This doesn't affect any other games.

Expect one more name change in short order. I have a feeling I'll come up with something better.
If you all have any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

why might my mouse feel smooth on my pad at times but at other times it feels rough like the pad is all wrinkled or something? i think its my mouse grip because some days it doesnt happen at all can someone pls help this is what i use
People make mistakes. If someone apologizes and puts forth real effort, let them prove that they are sincerely sorry. Give them a solid opportunity to make up for their missteps.
But not if they use aim assist. Have some standards.
Aim consistency is key, and humidity for your mouse pad is difficult to control. Try pointing a small high velocity desk fan into the pad and/or using a gaming sleeve.
For cloth users, also prioritize using a pad that is humidity resistant. Glass may be more consistent. #aimDIY

Deleted that tweet about recoil because wayyyyy too many people are misunderstanding it. I'll show it in a video instead.
It'd be fine if people just disagreed, but they actually don't even understand what I'm saying about it. We'll call it the limitation of text.

Pro tip for any game dev: Stop putting women into shooter games unless they're meant to be primarily eye candy
The guys who play these games don't want to be ordered around by some butch masculine girlboss
It appeals to no one and is off-putting to nearly everyone
"I already know it's not going to work" has got to be one of the saddest phrases in the English language.
And once someone shows the opposite to be true, these mfs turn into mental gymnasts justifying why they should still be considered to have been "technically" right all along

short girlies what gaming chairs are we all using as im 5ft 1, and so hard to find one that doesnt hurt my back
- Don't talk about desk height.
- Don't talk about chair height.
- And DEFINITELY don't talk about desk height.
You should test things. Mouse accuracy has a tons of variables. When someone says something is "the best", you don't know all the conditions that lined up for the person saying it.
Test over long durations and compare results looking for aim performance and consistency. #aimDIY
I am super interested in the opinions of experts, but I don't ever take anything that they say to automatically be the bible truth on any matter. From a process and efficiency standpoint, this is the healthiest outlook to have.
What they say is a starting point, and that's all.

That kind of shit was probably terribly unsafe and collapsed or otherwise got destroyed by its own design but we had 2fort in real life and it was beautiful
