The EOWC’s Chair Bonnie Clark joined @FrontenacCounty Warden Bill Saunders as part of the Frontenac Municipal Services site tour and working discussion highlighting how municipally owned communal water and wastewater infrastructure can unlock housing development in rural Ontario.
We thank @mckelvieAJAX , Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure; @ToddJMcCarthy, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks; @RobFlackEML, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; and @johnjordan_lfk, MPP for Lanark—Frontenac—Kingston, for joining municipal leaders at the Verona and Sharbot Lake development sites to see firsthand how innovative servicing models can transform municipally owned land into viable housing opportunities.
Advancing our rural housing priorities across the province requires an all-hands-on-deck approach. Last week, I joined Minister @ToddJMcCarthy and MPP @johnjordan_lfk to tour Frontenac Municipal Service’s #Verona and #SherbetLake sites. Together, these two projects will bring ~140 units into those communities.
Our government is committed to reducing timelines, streamlining approvals, and working with our municipal and industry partners to build the housing that rural Ontarians need.
