I think itās ambiguous but the idea that the play does not hurt him or his family in any way and allows him to profit so he can put it all into his surveillance network is really whatās salient

all of this really makes me feel so many emotions but mostly fucking rage. i just cant begin to describe how upset most women feel reading all of this. it makes me feel so sick and just devastated for jane doe and any other jane doe, myself included.
NBC News has gathered more info and a timeline on the Cornell 7 and Jane Doe, some of which is new.
* Jane Doe's car was broken into, and her wallet stolen earlier that day. She was supposed to be a āsober monitorā for her sorority party, but was late because of the burglary, so the sorority assigned someone else. Earlier reports had blamed her drinking for why she wasn't the monitor. She did do shots, as she was not on duty.
* she arrived at Chi Phi at 10:30 pm. A guy she was interested in proposed a threesome and she accepted. At this point she had taken ketamine, smoked marijuana and consumed more liquor.
* at 1:42 a.m., one of the two men from the initial sexual encounter messaged in the Chi Phi Snapchat group, that there was āfree p---yā upstairs.
More men started to enter the room. Jane Doe described feeling āsuper isolatedā and like she ādidnāt matter as a person to these men." Doe said to one of the initial men, āI donāt know who any of these people are.ā
* later, one man who lived in the room went into the room with another man and said āsomething like āOk weāre shutting down whatever the fā this is,āā after which āthe group of men all began to scatter..ā
* then, two of the men ushered Doe upstairs to what she believed was the fraternity presidentās office. She said the two men āwere asking me to have sex so many times that I finally gave in.ā
āTo me, that felt like coercion,ā she told police. āAlso, I felt like due to my intoxication, they should have known how intoxicated I was based on how I was slurring my words.ā This continued until 5:45 a.m.
* she woke up in the room of the guy she had originally come to see, and found him hovering over her, saying he wanted her to give him oral sex. She refused him and he moved away from her.

So much culpability to go around. So many guys knew and could have stopped it. This case is going to be a lot more wide ranging than we originally knew. Let's see how many of these rats, rat each other out to save themselves!

I also like how the movie intimates how the āthen as farce, then as farce, then as farceā attitude of our moment feels like cope. in the best scene in the movie, Cruise is basically pleading āno no! this man was EVIL!ā

To me, Digger is pretty clearly a self critical, introspective work that everyone is reading as accusatory

best community note ever. a woman using the fact a woman didnāt immediately report her SA against her, when she literally did the exact same thing.
The shot in Obsession of Sarahās dead body in the house is the image thatās lingered with me from that movie the most because of how misogynistic and mean-spirited it is. Basically every time I think about that movie I like it less

Men are doxxing the wrong women because they're so hungry to terrorize a rape victim into further tragedy, they don't care if they violate & destroy other women. They just want to join in men's sexual violence like the 8th in line to a gang rape, any woman will do.
Ellie Lucas retweeted
Sheās Jane Doe, Iām Jane Doe, every woman you come into contact with is Jane Doe.
It doesnāt matter who you try to expose or dox. It affects us all and it always has.
My name is Jane Doe and Iāve been hurt in countless ways by men.
Sheās Jane Doe, Iām Jane Doe.

rape an unconcious woman behind a dumpster? you have a bright future.
gang rape a woman with your teammates? you'll still get drafted to the NHL.
drug & rape a student with your frat bros? just write an essay.
say 'free palestine'? expelled & charged with acts of terrorism.
Ellie Lucas retweeted
This is also sexual terrorism, every bit as effective as rape. This is yet another way men identify with rapists & worship the violence of other men. This is men acting as a class to defend their violent enforcement of the oppression of women. But why don't women report, eh?
Ellie Lucas retweeted
Yes.
You.
Have.
And the reason so many men think theyāre respectful of women and not a threat is because they donāt even think twice about saying this shit and donāt consider it wrong.
