Cis allies, we desperately need you on this one. Call your congresspeople, ESPECIALLY if they're dems/you live in a blue state, and make very clear that caving on trans rights is NOT acceptable.
National trans funding bans are looming, inserted into multiple pieces of must-pass legislation.
Indications are that Republicans will play shutdown politics over it. Meanwhile, some Dems indicate "they may compromise."

Seriously, I'm enjoying this season so far but it desperately needs to be queerer. S1 hit bare minimum required queerness for a good season of Trek, and this season hasn't been anywhere near that.

Saying that we are still in a pandemic means we want to make society open and accessible to everyone, and not leave people who are chronically ill, or higher risk behind. Pretending that the pandemic is over does the opposite.
I saw a tweet a day or two ago speculating once again that Musk is trying to tank Twitter on purpose as part of some master plan. And as always, I thought, "Nah, it's going to be something dumber and pettier than that." Sure enough...
I have recently discovered one of the rare shining exceptions. I don't know how their reviews are, but Resonant Arc's deep-dive podcasts are fantastic. I've devoured their Xenogears and Xenosaga series and am about halfway through their FFVI, all in the space of about two weeks.
