Staff were astounded when supporters bought every single item on a wish list set up to support parents whose babies are born prematurely. The NICU team at WHH worked with @FriendsofWHH to create the list, and a post about it was shared almost 200 times: ekhuft.nhs.uk/news/generous-…

Almost there... Next month sees us treat the first patients in major new extensions to the emergency departments at William Harvey and QEQM. Once open, renovations to the current departments will then get underway, to further improve facilities for patients, visitors & staff.

A brand-new critical care unit, that will benefit some of east Kent’s sickest patients, opens tomorrow at the William Harvey Hospital. Yvonne Davis, William Harvey Hospital’s longest-serving nurse, opened the new unit, 43 years after her first shift at the hospital.

Cambridge L and Cambridge K at WHH asked for some activities that would support the patients well-being. Both wards now have patient book boxes (boxes donated from @EKHCharity and books from League of Friends WHH shop). Keeping patients happy a page at a time! 📚
