Kijabe PAACS Anesthesiology senior residents, Drs. Rebecca Dufe and Eunice Kageha completed their first away rotations at Kibuye Hope Hospital, Burundi. During this time, they engaged in teaching surgery residents, supervised care, and helped design a quality improvement project.

At anesthesia conferences I hear a lot of talk about increasing the clinical workforce in Africa. I think we need to shift the conversation to increasing the educational workforce. We must find gifted educators and encourage, mentor and incentivize them to teach.
13 anesthesia machines purchased this year. 7 in Kijabe, 6 on a container. 1 ventilator purchased, 3 more to go by year end, God-willing! Good equipment and great people are the key! @KijabeHospital @GradianHealth
"With the right equipment and skill, the success rate of our anaesthesia is almost at 100%.” 🙌
