Enjoy a day of Festivities on Sat Sept 25 at the MLK Library! At 10 am, view the film LIBRARY REIMAGINED: A Tour in Dance performed and choreographed by ballerina Alexandra Hutchinson, who grew up in DC, and her dance partner Derek Brockington. Provided by @FriendsMLKLibry.

Need a good book? Today is the first Sunday that 8 libraries will be open! The Libraries are: Anacostia (Ward 8), Benning (Ward 7), MLK (Ward 2), Mt Pleasant (Ward 1), Petworth (Ward 4), Southwest (Ward 6) Tenley-Friendship (Ward 3), and Woodridge (Ward 5). Hours are 1-5 pm.

The WETA ARTS show is showcasing the transformation of buildings in the DC Public Library system over the last 15 years this Monday at 9:30 p.m. It repeats Sept 11th at 11:30 pm, the 12th at 4 pm, and the 14th at 9:30 pm. Our own @RReyesGavilan will appear. Get the popcorn ready!

The other week, I asked @_DCHealth to expand #Ward6 locations where residents can pick up a free at-home test. Yesterday they announced that expansion. Now 5 sites in #Ward6: 👉 Watha T Daniel Library, plus 👉 Rosedale Rec 👉 Southwest Library 👉 Arthur Capper Rec 👉 DC Health HQ

All children who live in DC are eligible to receive a free book by mail each month from birth until age five to build their home libraries.
