48 years ago today I started work in the NHS, an amazing institution and it is the responsibility of each of us to ensure that we keep alive the original ethos of universal, equitable, comprehensive, high quality healthcare, free at the point of need, this is my passion #NHS

What an amazing team at UHD, thank you for being great colleagues and for all the fun and hard times we’ve shared - I will miss you all. I have loved every minute of the last 47 years in healthcare, it has been a privilege and a joy. I’m sure I’ll be back!
