The Afghan girl will shine again
One day, the gates of schools and universities will open once more for Afghan girls.
A day will come when their laughter will be heard again in the halls of learning.
They will study again, they will write again, and with hope, they will build a brighter future.
I have faith in that day in the light in a new dawn that rises gently from the darkness.
Dear Afghan girl, you deserve to learn, to grow, and to shine. The light within you will always remain.

As an Afghan resident of the United States, with a heavy and saddened heart, I wish a swift and full recovery for the two National Guard members who were tragically shot and severely injured yesterday in Washington, D.C.
In these difficult moments, I extend my deepest sympathy to their families, colleagues, and community.
I strongly and unequivocally condemn this criminal and inhumane act.
This individual in no way represents us—Afghans who live in this country with dignity, respect, and obedience to the law. We Afghan immigrants stand alongside the people of the United States and consider ourselves partners in the safety, peace, and shared human values of this nation.
I hope justice is served swiftly and that the perpetrator of this horrific attack faces the fullest and most severe consequences of the law.
Especially for me, someone who spent years working to eliminate violence against women, these “explanations” have become painfully predictable.
I’ve seen too many cases where words like “stroke,” “sudden death,” or “suicide” were used as a mask to hide severe domestic violence.
When a young bride dies early in her marriage, inside her husband’s home, it’s not just another headline.
It reflects a pattern that I, and many others in this field, have witnessed again and again.
The lack of independent forensic reports, the closed environment of the husband’s family, and the total impunity for perpetrators mean the truth is often buried forever.
These stories are not surprising to me anymore, they are heartbreaking because they repeat far too often.

There are no people kinder than #Americans.
No one has a heart as big and generous as #anAmerican, life itself has proven that.
If this Afghan family had been in the United States, not even two hours would have passed before people offered them shelter, blankets, and food.
Here, community organizations and volunteers immediately step in, they raise funds, send supplies, and help refugees.
In this country, kindness isn’t just a feeling; it’s a way of life.
And then you read that, in the heart of Europe, a family has lived homeless on the streets of Brussels for months , and only now the court has ordered that they must be given a place to stay.
How different people can be…
In one place, #humanity is the law.
In another, you still have to go to court to prove it.

In a leaked audio, the Taliban order their forces to track and detain anyone using Starlink or satellite internet in Afghanistan after already cutting off the country’s fiber-optic network.
The Taliban are so trapped in their narrow and extremist mindset that even in moments of life and death, they refuse to allow a man to approach women to save or assist them. According to their beliefs, men who are considered “namahram” (strangers forbidden to women) are unlawful and must not touch women under any circumstances even if it means saving their lives. They would rather see a woman suffocate beneath the rubble and be buried there than allow the touch of a man. This inhuman logic values rigid interpretations over women’s right to life and sacrifices human dignity on the altar of fanaticism.
In this reality, Afghan women are victims of two earthquakes: one that shook the earth and destroyed their homes, and another imposed by the Taliban that crushed their spirit and their right to live. The earthquake of the soil shakes the ground, but the earthquake of the Taliban extinguishes hope.
Today, the urgent question remains: Who will speak for the women buried under the rubble, not because help was absent, but because extremists preferred their death over the presence of a man reaching out to save them?
We are devastated by the earthquake in Afghanistan. 💔
So many lives have been lost, and countless others are in urgent need of help.
In this picture, courageous female doctors are working day and night to save lives. Yet the shortage of women doctors, caused by the ban on women’s education and work, has left many women and girls untreated, leading to preventable deaths.
This is not only unjust. It is deadly.
We stand with the victims and their families with our deepest sympathy.
We call on humanitarian organizations to act immediately and deliver urgent aid.

Today, Afghanistan is a land of fear for those who stand for democracy, equality, and justice. Those who have never supported terrorists are branded enemies simply for believing in freedom. The promise of amnesty for terrorists is a cruel lie to continue suppressing those who seek peace.
Homes are no longer safe; those who served their country live in constant threat and fear. The promised amnesty is just a mask to silence voices of hope.
Terrorists use this deception to maintain power and suppress the people.
This is a battle beyond military warfare; a struggle between freedom and oppression, with the pain growing deeper every day.
Today the Taliban surrounded the home of an Afghan who worked for the U.S. military for some 15 years searching for him. They believed he had returned from the refugee camp in the UAE but thanks to Pres Trump he was not there to be murdered.
Trump inherited this disaster & is saving these lives but this is the reality for U.S. allies from Afghanistan:
“What a pain that cannot be described in words. Every time my cell phone rings, it feels like a heavier weight is on my chest than in the years and days before.
They said general amnesty... they said we have no business... they said we have come to restore security and tranquility... but our home, which was our peaceful and secure sanctuary, has now been under the shadow of guns and heavy gazes since this morning. How long will our people start every morning with the fear of when they will knock on the door, enter without permission, and we are left with this unanswered question: What are they after? What do they want? Those who once served this land are today under surveillance, under pressure, and under questioning. General amnesty has become just a word to deceive, to comfort a world waiting for recognition. But here, in the back alleys of Kabul, the truth is something else; "Truth is the fear that dwells in the hearts of people, the sound of doors being slammed mercilessly, and a look that no longer trusts.
Our people are neither enemies nor threats. But when the walls of your home are no longer safe, when someone's presence in their past is considered a crime, then no words, not even "forgiveness," can heal our wounded hearts
Today, the savage Taliban attacked my house again, falsely informing me that I had returned home and that they were trying to find me. God Almighty has failed and shamed them, and will always fail them.”
August 15th… the day the sky over Afghanistan turned black and tears silently fell down faces.
The city fell, but hearts in love with the homeland never surrendered.
Our wound is deep, but our hope is deeper
One Eye for Women? Shame on Such Ignorant Interpretations!
When a mosque preacher in the capital of a country with over forty million people boldly declares that “a woman should walk outside using only one eye,” we are not merely facing ignorance, we are witnessing a crisis of morality, reason, and justice.
These statements are neither religious, nor ethical, nor human. No credible Islamic source instructs women to blind themselves in order to walk in public. Such interpretations are not rooted in the Qur’an or the Prophet’s teachings, they are born from fear and a pathological obsession with controlling women.
Is “enjoining good” truly about humiliating women? Is silencing voices and justifying oppression truly what God commands? How did legitimate criticism of a repressive institution become “an offense against God”? Does God wish for women to walk blindfolded, or for all human beings to open their eyes to truth, justice, and dignity?
Women have the right to walk with both eyes open, with knowledge, with dignity, with independence. They have the right to see, to learn, to ask questions, to participate, and to protest. No power can take that away, not with whips and threats, not with sermons and slander.
We will not be silent in the face of such organized ignorance. This is not religion. This is not the voice of the Afghan people. The voices of Afghan women are voices of truth, and truth cannot be silenced by closing one eye.

The upcoming “People’s Tribunal for Afghan Women” in Madrid is a commendable and historic initiative led by Afghan civil society organizations and their international partners. This tribunal stands as a symbol of the ongoing efforts to give voice to women who have long been deprived of their most basic human rights.
In a world where justice and human dignity are shared and universal values, this tribunal offers an opportunity to document truths, acknowledge harm, and pursue accountability for widespread human rights violations.
With the support of the Permanent People’s Tribunal and the presence of respected judges, prosecutors, and experts, this effort takes on a legal, ethical, and humanitarian dimension, opening a path where justice-seeking becomes a collective responsibility and a lasting value.
We salute the civil society actors whose dedication, conscience, and hope have made this meaningful step possible. This initiative is not the end, but the beginning, one that brings visibility to suffering, amplifies silenced voices, and seeks justice through a clear and peaceful path.

We respectfully request that President @DonaldTrump consider the situation of P1 and P2 visa holders and pay attention to the possibility of reopening the USRAP program to ensure their safety. Many Afghans in third countries such as Qatar, Tajikistan, and Pakistan face serious challenges, including the risk of deportation, while those remaining in Afghanistan live in hiding due to unsafe conditions. Additionally, special consideration could be given to the situation of Afghan @prosecutors, who face significant threats due to their role in upholding justice.

I sincerely thank President Donald Trump for his commitment to assisting former Afghan colleagues who bravely worked alongside the U.S. government and military and are now seeking asylum and residency in the United States. This action demonstrates a dedication to fulfilling promises made to these devoted individuals who served alongside American forces in challenging conditions.
Thank you once again!

When a woman, imprisoned in the darkest corners of the Taliban’s dungeons, picks up a pen and, with her last breath of hope, writes a letter to a fugitive leader, we must understand the tragedy has surpassed all limits of pain.
This is no longer just a story of women’s rights being violated. It is a desperate cry from a wounded nation, abandoned and silenced by the world. Girls rotting in Taliban prisons in Kabul, Herat, and Badakhshan for the crime of merely being women are now pleading, from behind bars, to silent leaders, to the so-called heroes of yesterday who either stood by or surrendered the battlefield and fled.
How bitter it is that women now turn for help to men who either failed them or abandoned them. But this is not a sign of trust, it is the voice of despair, born from utter helplessness and betrayal. The cry of “Where is Marshal?” is not praise. It is not support. It is a scream into the void a testament to the absence of real refuge.
What is happening in Afghanistan today is a national catastrophe, but the suffering of Afghan women within this tragedy is unmatched and nearly voiceless. Prisons, unmarked graves, and locked homes are now filled with women who carry “unwritten letters” in their hearts letters soaked in blood and silent screams that will never reach Dostum, or any other politician.
If the world continues to ignore these voices, if no one reflects their cries, then tomorrow, history will ask all of us:
When your women were screaming, where were you?
