People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true. I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin. Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions. Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25. Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha. So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years. PSA: don't come in my comments arguing about the results if you haven't read the full article, because ignorance is a choice. Full article is up now on my Substack (link in bio) and it's free.

Chapman's Ice Cream has just done something EVERY Canadian should know. The largest ice cream company in Canada used to source fruit and nuts from American suppliers — for some, for over 30 years. Then, Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian products. So, what did Chapman's do? 📷 They called Italy. 📷 They called Spain. 📷 They signed multi-year contracts with European suppliers. And the vice president said it perfectly: "Even if Trump wakes up smarter than yesterday, we're about to sign long-term deals with other countries — and the American companies that supply them will have nothing but their eyes to cry for." Oh, and on top of ALL that? They're COLDing their prices so that the average Canadian doesn't have to spend a single cent more. It's a family business. No shareholders. Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream." That's what Canadian pride looks like. Next time you're at the grocery store — grab some Chapman's. Every scoop of ice cream is a vote for Canada.

A big reason for the trade imbalance? We were buying oil at below market rates from Canada. We had a sweat heart deal. Take oil imports out of it and we had a trade surplus. This thing with Canada is moronic. And the people buying into Trump's bizarre misunderstanding of basic facts and economics are telling on themselves.

US Census Bureau data shows the average annual US goods trade deficit with Canada was about $38 billion over 2016-2025, not $60 billion. Much of the deficit is from energy imports; excluding them the US has typically run a surplus. census.gov/foreign-trade/… economics.td.com/ca-canada-us-t… ustr.gov/countries-regi…

Time to buy some Canadian-imported products here at my local store in Nuuk, Greenland 🇬🇱 and support our neighbours in Canada. 🇨🇦🤝🇬🇱 As you can see, the store is even promoting its Canadian products. Just a small gesture of support for our Canadian friends and neighbours. 🇨🇦

As a Retired US Army paratrooper, pictures like these hit hard. Trump never had the courage to pick up a rifle and man a post when he was called to serve. Yet he has the nerve to promote AI pictures like this showing him wearing things like Parachutist badges, and rows of ribbons he never had to courage to obtain. Anyone who has ever served should be pissed at garbage like this. His father paid a doctor’s note so he wouldn't have to serve. But remember that for every one of the draft deferments, someone else had to go in his place. A pure disgrace.

50 percent tariff against Canada in a move that Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman notes is not only “almost surely illegal,” but is the same “terrible mistake” that pushed the U.S. into the Great Depression. Krugman argues that “this really is a temper tantrum, in the sense that there’s no strategy here. The new tariffs will hurt American consumers, and nobody expects them to extract any concessions from Canadians who are only getting more outraged at the United States.” What’s more, argues Krugman, it degrades the U.S. relationship with vital partners. As he writes, “Canada should be, and used to be, America’s greatest friend in the world. We share essential political and moral values with our northern neighbor. For the most part we even share a common language, eh? And Canadians viewed us very favorably until Trump began his tariffs and threats. Now we’re viewed less favorably than China.” Based on all this, Krugman’s conclusion is grim: “I don’t see a golden age. I see an America that has become an ineffectual bully, sicker, poorer, and riven by political extremism, with no friends anywhere in the world.”

You purposely omitted that the man who died was Canadian. Nicolas Dale was a Canadian firefighter. He died this week fighting the wild fire in Colorado.
Every wildfire season, aerial firefighters put themselves in harm’s way to protect our communities and support the men and women on the ground battling dangerous fires. Today, we mourn the loss of Nicholas Dale, who gave his life while supporting response efforts on the Gold Mountain Fire. My prayers are with his family and loved ones, his fellow aviators, and everyone in the wildland firefighting community grieving this tragic loss. Nicholas answered the call to serve others, knowing the risks that come with that service. We are grateful for his sacrifice, and we honor his memory.

The number of Canadians suggesting that we "rake the forests" that are, in some cases, hundreds of kilometers from a four-season road suggests we might need a better geography curriculum in our schools.

Yup time to do better. Don’t buy products from a country with bad and stupid leadership.
I just want to thank Americans. I was getting lazy on my boycott of US brands and businesses. I needed the wakeup call.
